What knife can’t you keep out of your pocket?

Oddly enough, the one that seems to keep returning to my pocket is a blue Kizer Sovereign. I've got several very nice (to me) knives in my EDC rotation, and I carry them all - and then some. But the one that over the past year keeps turning up most often in my pocket is this humble little Kizer.

As far as moderns go, the Benchmade Mini Crooked River ticks all my boxes. Actually, I haven’t found another modern knife since picking this one up, that I felt was worth purchasing. I carry mostly traditional, but this Mini CR just does it.

I saw a lot of "Bugout." Unfortunately, not for me, as it's just TOO LIGHT for me...hard to explain. With a blade thickness of just 0.090", there is no doubt that it will slice like nothing else, and would love to see more of these thin blades on the market.
However, I'm more comfortable with about 4 to 5 ounces in a knife.
That Klotzi looks interesting...been looking at them for some time, now. The Swiss often make pretty nice stuff.

Since I got it, the Maxamet Para2.
I'm interested by the Maxamet hype. So far, edge retention is very impressive, SM touch ups take longer than most other steels I use, but a bit less than S90V/S110V.

I'm curious about how long it will be before I need to put in the WE clamp and re-profile the edge, and very curious about how I will get on when I do.

I thought the Bugout would be too light, but after using it for awhile I find it to be quite nice. I usually like a little heft in a user, but the Bugout is just so slicey that it seems like a lot of knife in such a featherweight package. I'm glad the price was so reasonable that I had to give it a try!

I love the Bugout as well!

That is awesome! The Bugout is lightweight as can be. If I remember correctly it weighs like 2 oz.
Yup. Super thin and light.

The deep carry clip is awesome but without a clip it is just a tiny knife. Doesn’t feel any bigger than a SAK in my pocket.

Now that we can wear jeans every day in my office I have been gravitating between the MT Scarab and ProTech SnG, but my good old ZT 0560 and 0300 still make an appearance now and then...the 0770cf and 940-1 have taken a back seat. My SMF will also still get carried when I am feeling a little ticked off.

When I go out to our land in central TX the 0350 gets the nod in shorts.

Can't believe I'm the first - MiniGrip, for about 10 years now. There have been many challengers but never for long.

Oh, and a SAK Ambassador in the left side pocket, for even longer.

The knife clipped to my right pocket changes from day to day but lately has been my Direware H-92 more often than not. The knife in my left pocket is a 30 something year old Henckles trapper that I have been carrying almost every day since new. It gets all the jobs I won't let my "right pocket" knives do.

Went on a tear this past month, and now I feel like I am rotating knives in and out of my pocket all day, trying to settle on "the one". The BM Mini Presidio II that just arrived in the mail yesterday is making a strong case to push the others aside, but I keep ending up with the BM 940-1 at the end of the day.

Normal old spyderco manix ffg, all blacked out I think I have been carrying it consistently for a couple months, close to 7 days a week, only getting swapped out for one of my ZTs when I want to carry something a little nicer or cooler looking. Although I dont carry in the pocket, I carry on the seatbelt of m wheelchair it still counts right? It is just such a tough knife, and has never failed me. Spyderco's s30v is not my favorite but it gets the job done and with a 30 degree edge and 40 degree microbevel it touches up to a hair popping edge with the sharpmaker and some DMT diamond stropping compound.
It is kind of my "for life" knife. I am planning on using it until it gives out. Im not sure it ever will though haha It just works so well as a tool and I am not afraid to use it for anything, scraping up epoxy, cutting sandpaper, prying apart handle scales, and I usually spend my time and use my knives most out working in my shop where I do stuff like this a bunch. It does everything and keeps on kicking. It gets filled with metal in the pivot and still locks up tight and is easy to clean I just love it. If i do wear it out it will be replaced with a spring run model I think, maybe a para 2 but im not sure thats as strong of a knife.

Cutting up some Kydex Foam. This stuff is stupid hard to cut, it felt like cutting into a car tire.

Also if anyone knows how to get sharpie off of that coating, I would really like to know lol. I have tried lighter fluid and gun cleaner and it wont come off.

Spyderco Military s90v ti/cf and a recently acquired zt 0450.

They are both so amazing, I carry both and feel sad when they go on the gUn safe at night, but each morning is a joyful reunion

Since Christmas my KW CTS-204p Military. A present from my wife that kicked my old S30v one out of my pocket.

Just can't seem to not carry a Military. Still.like to carry other folders with it every now and then.
