What knife can’t you keep out of your pocket?

I seemed to gravitate towards my Skyline more than other blades. It's made of good materials, it carries well, slices great, and is comfortable in various grips.

Not only does the flipper action fire fast and reliably, after breaking it in, I can actually open it with the thumbstuds (although, with a deliberate motion)!

Normal old spyderco manix ffg, all blacked out I think I have been carrying it consistently for a couple months, close to 7 days a week, only getting swapped out for one of my ZTs when I want to carry something a little nicer or cooler looking. Although I dont carry in the pocket, I carry on the seatbelt of m wheelchair it still counts right? It is just such a tough knife, and has never failed me. Spyderco's s30v is not my favorite but it gets the job done and with a 30 degree edge and 40 degree microbevel it touches up to a hair popping edge with the sharpmaker and some DMT diamond stropping compound.
It is kind of my "for life" knife. I am planning on using it until it gives out. Im not sure it ever will though haha It just works so well as a tool and I am not afraid to use it for anything, scraping up epoxy, cutting sandpaper, prying apart handle scales, and I usually spend my time and use my knives most out working in my shop where I do stuff like this a bunch. It does everything and keeps on kicking. It gets filled with metal in the pivot and still locks up tight and is easy to clean I just love it. If i do wear it out it will be replaced with a spring run model I think, maybe a para 2 but im not sure thats as strong of a knife.

Cutting up some Kydex Foam. This stuff is stupid hard to cut, it felt like cutting into a car tire.

Also if anyone knows how to get sharpie off of that coating, I would really like to know lol. I have tried lighter fluid and gun cleaner and it wont come off.
Acetone removes Sharpie ink very effectively.

The knife I can’t stop carrying is my SAK Tinker. I pair it with a locking Spyderco. This way I have a great cutter, plus a slipjoint I can lend, plus the “other tools” that make an SAK awesome.

Thank you! its funny i beat the crap out of it, and don't generally care how it looks, but that sharpie on the blade has been driving me crazy. Thanks for the tip!

For me, it's my Large Sebenza 21, I really like the amount of blade I get to the amount of pocket real estate it occupies.

Good match up. I started with a Tinker and I carry the SAK Adventurer (essentially a 111mm Tinker) with the side lock that has been discontinued. It's now offered with a liner lock. I have spares for this one and probably the only user I have identical replacement knives for. Loose one and a new one goes into my pocket. Usually carry a modern with it.

I go through blocks of time that I carry one knife and can't see myself ever using any other. Then my wife and I will go someplace that makes me choose a different blade and the game starts all over again.

Most of my collection gets very little pocket time because I normally carry one of three or four knives. A US made Kershaw Zing, along with Benchmade's 531 and Griptilian. That's three. Number four on my list is something I am embarrassed to admit. A Cutco 1891 lockback. That's right...Cutco. One of the worst knives in production today. It's way, way overpriced. The fit and finish are poor. The blade steel is garbage and the heat treatment is only talked about in dark alleyways. Yet, the pocket clip works well and the knife doesn't weight much. Not really sure what I see in this knife, really. It doesn't hold an edge. Why do I keep it around?

I can only think of two reasons. First, I like the oval hole used to deploy the blade. Second, it's cheap and I don't worry like I do when my more costly knives are carried.

I'm normally drawn to larger knives. My S90V/Ti/CF Military and Vallotton Sub-Hilt for example.

But I've been craving a smaller knife to front pocket carry. So I just got a new Native5 CPM-154/S90V w/CF and I love it. This gorgeous little tank is just what I've been wanting. Very well-built and compact. At 4" closed , it's discreet yet still packs a relatively big blade. All awesome.

Use to be Delica.

Now I have Peanut with me all the time and with it rides
either SAK Cadet Alox or Dragonfly.

Ferrum Forge Fortis and Protech Rockeye in CPM D2. Both amazing. And a Gollik knives fixed blade about the farm. It's a 3.5 Elmax blade with a pry tool on the end of the handle. Great EDC fixed blade to slip in the back pocket.

It was a steady rotation of my ZT 0095BW, Microtech Stitch, and PM2 cpm4. but I picked up a Manix 2 LW with maxamet, and swapped the blade onto my s30v version with g10 scales and it hasn't come out of the pocket for 2 months. I am in love.
