• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

What knife did you buy for your own self for Fathers Day?

I always wait to see if I'm getting a knife for any given holiday; this year I got a new grill instead of a knife, and I'm not complaining. Still, Case is making that Stockman in CV with a punch replacing the spey...that knife might be coming my way before the evening is up.

Becker Knife and Tool BK9. Been wanting one for a long time now, but keep buying other models. Should get here in a day or three.

Opinel 8, and a Mora 2. Been meaning to try both, and they cost me a total of 25$.

I'd been looking at a combination birthday/father's day knife for a couple of weeks and hadn't been able to find anything that was just right until I ran across something on the knifemaker's for sale forum that I had been hunting for quite some time - a Loveless style fixed blade City Knife. It was a great way to end a great day!

Nice looking little knife, popedandy. I carry one made by another maker, and find it a real handy little blade.

Congrats on the Courthouse whittler! I love that pattern, it's very pocket friendly.

While the Peanut was to be my Father's Day present to myself, I had also placed an order for my first semi-custom fixed blade at the beginning of May. While I was catching some crappie, pickerel and largemouth, the postman brought my new Blind Horse Camp MUK Nessmuk for me. Must have come Saturday, if I knew it was there I might have made the 50 mile trip from the lake to pick it up and bring it back. :D As it is, I'll enjoy it on our next Troop camping trip to Ricketts Glen state park.

Just a quick reminder (and some devastating meakologic) .
If you're interested- Australian Fathers Day is the first Sunday of September.
Thats a fact. Do with it what you will.
Oh BTW I'm just waiting on the postie to bring my Case Black Saddlehorn that I got myself in honour of all you American fathers.
I hope you will do the same in September.
As I say to my beautiful wife and the two fantastic sons she has given me -"Hey-everyday is fathers day to me.MWOOOHHAUUUHAHH haaahaaa...ha ...ahemm"

Got my Father's Day gift at the BLADE show. Picked up a Puukko by the Jones brothers with a beautiful spalted walnut burl handle and a Victorinox Red Alox Micro-Farmer (Cadet size) from SwissBianco.

Well, one day about a week ago I saw the Case Sparxx knives on ebay and thought they looked nice. So I ordered the Medium Stockman for myself. Got to say, when it arrived I was a little disappointed in it. The white scales, which is what attracted me to it in the first place, look very plastic in person. (yeah I know, they're synthetic). Plus, while the blades were sharp, they were not shaving sharp like many of the Case knives I've bought in the past.

It was also a little smaller than I remember the medium stockmans being. I usually carry a larger pocket knife. Maybe I'll get the Large Trapper next???

But in the end, it's still a Case and I'm happy I own it... :)

I got this stag dogleg off the BFC exchange, but hasn't arrived yet (seller's pic).
