Hi guys I was wondering what your dad or grandpa carried for a knife? My dad carries a cheap no name lockback.(I'm looking to buy him a new one, any suggestions? He likes traditionals) my Grandpa carried a Schrade Old Timer 330T. What did yours carry?

My grandpa and uncles all carried Buck 110s. One of my uncles owned a hardware store and sold them so all the boys in the family got one for their 9th birthday if the mother allowed...lol.

My Grandpa carried a LL Bean Swiss Army Knife, which he eventually gave to me. It is in my current EDC rotation, although I would like to replace it with a different SAK. It holds alot of sentimental value, so I would hate to lose it.

My dad carries a Case Peanut CV, my christmas present to him last year.

Paternal grandpa: small 3 bladed Henckles with bone scales.
Maternal grandpa: small friction folder

Not sure what my grandpas carried but my dad carries a black alox Vic Pioneer I gave him for father's day last year.

My dad carried a Schrade LB5 for years
My Grandfather carried a Old Timer Barlow, he had tons of them all over the house, and the small blade was snapped on all of them, he must've used the small blade as a screwdriver or a pry bar on them all.

My Dad carries a Case knife I bought him for Christmas a little while ago.

The knife is (as near as we can figure it), the same type of Case knife that HIS father carried back in the day.

The only knife my dad has carried is the one i gave him for the holidays, a sog micron. Needless to say, he wasnt thrilled when i started carrying a pocket knife in middle school(not during school).

My grandpa carried a Case Lock back. My dad carried that same lock back among other knives. I carry it from time to time now. My dad also carried a red alox soldier and a little coast lock back. (both of which my sister has now) and a spyderco worker. Sadly the worker disappeared one day :( I have another knife that my dad carried since he was a kid. It's a red victorinox. I'm not sure of the model but it had a regular blade and a bottle opener on it. He broke the tip off long ago and my grandpa reground it into a sheepsfoot blade. I carry it from time to time.

My Dad has carried a John Primble congress pattern since 1980. The knife was carried by my Grandfather for roughly 10 years before that.

Well my grandpa who has been a carpenter for probably 20/30 years, Carries one of those folding box cutters, not the crapy ones that are to thick to use but its slim with a aluminum body and very comfy..

My grandpap carried an old case folder. I don't really know much about it, the scales are long gone and the knife is just black from a lifelong patina from everyday use. I'm workin on fitting it with some new scales and fixin her up and maybe passing it down someday.

My Grandad also carried an old Case folder. I don't have it anymore, but I'd swear it was a little peanut.

My other GrandPa was a pharmacist and carried a "physician's knife" - a two-bladed folder with a flat unsharpened blade for mixing/sorting medicine. Not sure of the brand but could have been a Shapleigh - a local hardware store ordered it for him.

My grandfather always carried a Old timer folder for EDC and loved his Buck fixed blades for hunting. My dad was more of a gun person... lol.

My dad carried a buck for years. I always thought it was she coolest thing ever. I asked him for it a couple times but it wasn't until the scouts that he gave it to me.

I promptly broke the tip off and never told him.
