What knife do you most associate with the USA?

I have to say the Rambo knifes, with serrations on the back,
But that whats comes to mind.
Second thing, when asked whats the higher percentage of Americans would prefer and very few will even dare to speak negatively about is the Spyderco. Every knife knowing American owned, heard, wanted or admired one at one point in his life.

Could you rephrase that second thing? I couldn't quite figure out what you were trying to say.

As a non American, I'd say that CASE yellow handled knives typify the simple elegant and American working knife, timeless. But there are so MANY American knives of quality -that there are a lot of other candidates too:thumbup::thumbup:

As far as thinking of a knife that is American, then it is the Bowie for me.

But, like I said in my last post, as far as companies, I think Buck first.

I know that both the Bowie and the Rambo knives have other names but if you tell someone that you have a Gil Hibben knife at home they go Huh,what?

In the past few months Gil has taken orders for his handmade knives from Belgium, Norway, India, England, Australia, Germany, Canada, Singapore and a U.S. soldier in Iraq. A lot of people are not going "Huh, what?"
