what knife features you hate most on knives?

Handles that look like a Porcupine bred with an Egyptian pyramid.

(Carillo handles come to mind), just about anything from dark opps.

Partial serrations (no offense to the member with this name).
Bead blasted blades.
Tip-down carry.
Americanized tantos.
Rubber inserts.
Companies that steal other companies' designs.

Ironically, one of my most carried knives has all those features. A limited edition Microtech Mini-SOCOM auto with Anthony Marfione's signature engraved on it. I won it for $15 in a raffle to benefit Bob Bartoli's family after his untimely death. Bob was a Microtech dealer/collector and a good man. Microtech can go to hell, but I'll proudly carry this knife, no matter how much I hate it.

Liner Locks
Sharp-tipped serrations
Unnecessary holes in handle/blade
Small lanyard holes
Serrations on a fixed blade
Bladeplay
Tanto-serration combo
OPINELS

Most everything that's been mentioned so far plus pimpifications such as filework and pinched bolsters.

Note: serrations can be useful but almost every maker has them facing the wrong direction.

Things I don't particularly like are tanto points, handles with such aggressive surfaces you need a pair of gloves to use, partial serations (fully serrated are fine) thumb ramp.

These threads are stupid because there is no useful information to gather from the random preferences of people about a tool with such diversity in design and purpose as the knife.

If you say something stupid to everything written your mouth should already be very tired please stop trolling and say something constructive to the thread or don't comment.

Partial serrations
Tanto blades
Cord wrapped handles
Flipper designs
Assisted opening
Poor blade to handle ratios

I've had a few knives with each of the above, just not for me.

You say that you dont like choils, yet that Hinderer looks like it has a pretty healthy one?

I believe that is not really a finger choil though. You keep your finger behind the flipper mechanism on the knife in his avatar. A lot of knives have what looks like a finger choil but it is not. That cut-out feature in the blade has another name but evades me now. You can tell it would not be very safe to keep your finger there by the design of it.

I think that this thread could be useful if it were designed in a poll format with like/don't like choices. I think that some things like blade centering, useful blade length vs handle length are universal.

Emerson's chisel ground blades. They (he) refuse to grind their blades on the correct side (for right hand users) and their only response is "they're hard use knives".
Slight recurves (ala BM710, which I love in spite of the recurve)
154CM on really nice knives. It's great on inexpensive knives, but S30V+ belongs on $100 and up knives.
Uncomfortable handles for the sale of aesthetics.

prominent textures or adroitness in the handle. are these meant to hurt the user? look at all your other tools in the box/shed. they all come with smooth, rounded handles, often rubber-soft.
