What Knife for Christmas Morning?

It will be the lil
sebclmic.jpg

Same! Along with maybe my SAK pioneer

In keeping with my new program of edcing slippies, which so far its going well. I have gotten past the hard part of not having a clip or easy one handed opening... I'm thinking I will pull out one of my recently aquired vintage Uncle Henrys.. With any luck I will open my presents to find more early production Uncle Henrys :D

Probably going to use two knives...

~ Kershaw ENER-G 2 because it opens in a flash and is fun to use.
~ Emerson La Griffe because the grip and the small curve to the blade make it great for easily and safely opening anything that comes in a blister pack.

I'm going with a Vic Spirit multitool because there will be some children's toys to assemble in addtion to package opening.

Probably something from the kitchen drawer. I don't carry a pocketknife in my PJs... :)

Hmmmmmm, TOUGH decision. I love them all so much.

Rainbow Leek
Spyderco S
CRKT M16-10Z
CRKT Ichi

PJ Tomes single blade trapper to open the shipping cartons, after that
no knife.
In our family it was/is verboten to cut wrapping paper off a gift.
Honestly I don't know why, but it's always been that way...bad luck I guess :D

I don't think anyone is using them to get through wrapping paper. Moreso tape/plastic ties/that evil vacuum sealed plastic packaging that cuts you back!

The SAK Tinker will take care of most things. But if anything super tough shows up, like a big sturdy clam pack, the USMC K-bar won't be far away.

I put a screaming edge on this one today so I'm going to see how it handles all the paper, plastic etc.

Bailey Bradshaw Folding Bowie

That Bradshaw is schweeet! I'll probably be using my hands in all seriousness. Or the Crucible folder my wife bought me if it is here in time. keepem sharp and Merry Xmas.

I'll probably use my Queen Cocobolo 4-blade Congress. The corner-like tips on the sheepfoot blades are very efficient for opening packages, including clampacks. Here's a pic of one with amber bone scales:

I'll keep my Victorinox Swisstool Spirit handy for those "some assembly required" gifts.
