What Knife for Christmas Morning?

me as we are doing presents at a relative
a little Bucklite 525- nice peacefull looking knife i can lend out...

For the regular packages, I'll use my ZT 0200...For stuff that's bubble-packaged with that cut-resistant plastic, I'll use a chainsaw.:D.:D.
Chainsaw ha ha I love it!!:p If i am ever going to cut my self it's trying to open them little buggers.

My Christmas presents, A Benchmade 201 Snody Activator+ (A bit longer version of Enix's knife.) came yesterday and my first-ever Bark River, a black Micarta handled Huntsman, came today... they may get the nod in the AM. However, I may take the Buck 408 Kalinga Pro, new in October, to the in-laws... maybe the loudenboomer, too!

Or... I could just take a 'special' Buck 110...

Merry Christmas!

Stainz

Okapi Sheepsfoot slipjoint. Will probably have Sog Powerlock handy- in case anything is "some assembly required".

Rinaldi Matrix & a Strider PT.... and good pair of Craftsman sidecutters for all that evil twist wire from hell that they use to safetywire toys into the packages , which is done I guess in case of an airdrop.

If I cant get it open with those , I am going to the safe for the AR15 ;)

Well I just got done playing Santa(its 3:13am), the gifts are under the tree awaiting my two boys.

I have a Large Micarta Sebbie in my pocket for now, and in a few hours who knows what will land on my pocket seam? My bet would be the same Sebbie, or a nonflipper XM. I might need to baton my way through a few steel tie cables. (mahh. Ha ha........)

Started off with my G10 leek. When I opened a package with a waved delica, I switched to that. After unwrapping a Quince Burl MCusta, I finished things off with that. It was a good Christmas for knives.

Want to report that my Sebenza did an excellent job this morning and has now been wiped down of all sticky tape residue and is back in my right front pocket. Did receive a Protech Runt 2 this morning and it was used on the very last package to be opened..........man, this little bugger is a SLICER!

EMT Shears from Sheffield. They don't have that silly folded over bit on the end, just a ramp. Darn serrations will get you opening a clamshell, tho.

Never failed to get one open, never cut through into the stuff underneath, like my leg.

Spyderco SE Cricket. This little bugger makes short work of any blister pack or overdone wrapping job, and better yet, it is so light that it's unnoticeable clipped to the pajama pants which I wore most of the day.

Ironically, the first package I opened was a special "package opener", designed specifically to slice through blister packs without endangering anyone's precious digits. Apparently people can't trust themselves to handle simple cutting tasks without risking life and limb. :jerkit: Sissies.

I'm a little late but my blackwood sebbie was passed around to just about everyone. I had to keep an eye out though as my bro-in-law kept trying to put it in his pocket.;)

Spyder10- if you don't like that delica you can send it this way :)

OK, what we actually used, was my small SAK, and a stainless steel Schrade Trapper, with jigged bone handles. Before I pulled these two knives out, people were helplessly tearing at thick plastic wrappers, with fingers and teeth. That was when I announced that "savages rip and tear at things with their teeth, while civilized people use tools." Whereapon I handed them the Schrade.:)

The Schrade presented a tasteful, classical appearance, and was well received, [by my savage family].
