What knife got you hooked on bucks?

My first Buck was the 103 Skinner. Bought it for hunting when I was around 18 in 1984. I've tried numerous other knives, but I always go back to the Skinner. A couple years ago I bought another one as a backup.

The 303. And the 112 my grandfather carried everyday, until he went into a "retirement" villa. It served EDC duties, hunting, fishing, and camp duties, and was in his pocket for the better part of forty years. It's in his dresser drawer now, being more kmife than he needs. I think he carries a 2-1/2 inch Case lockback from Lowes, now. I have a featherweight version in my pocket right now, although I have always loved the laminate wood scales of the OG 110 and 112.

This was my first nice knife as a kid. my dad gave it to me....1997 Buck 110.....thought it was to nice to use so all I did was clean it and put back away. Have a ton of knives now and have started using it finally. Think I might take it Javelina hunting this year.

102 Woodsman. It has been about as close to perfect as I have found for dressing deer, hogs, rabbits, ducks, fish, whatever. I got it as a gift for my jr high graduation about 20 years ago and it has been with me on every hunting trip ever since.

Of course as you might imagine a 303 started it all. For the last 25 years my knife always said Buck on the blade but varied from a 112 to a 309 depending on the pocket and the task. Today I hedge toward light weight and locking blades. But, pants with a watch pocket always get a 303 or a 309 and then whatever else I might want. In my near senior years (an likely bad knees saying no more elk hunting), I feel a antler scale of some type gives me a feeling of a successful life. Currently, a elk 309 and small Vantage are my smaller adventure companions.

I agree with AfghanWarrior Made in USA is one of the reasons for me as well, but also the 119 special, just a classic disign and look!

Buck 110 was my first knife. My uncle owned the Hardware Hank in town and gave it to me when I was a kid (he sold Buck Knives at the store). Pretty well every male in our rural town carried a knife, most of them a Buck 110 on their belts.

I have to say I love this photo. Those are two sweet knives.

Those old hardware stores were fun. Back in the 1960's here, it was Sim's Hardware. Today it would be our local Cook's Ace Hardware; but there are some things they don't sell like Sim's did.

As a kid, if someone had a lockblade sheath - it held a Buck 110. The 112 finger groove was my first Buck, and now I have a few. They are solid, USA made, and about perfect for general use.

Those elk scales look really tempting.

My Dad gave me a Buck 112 when I was about 11 years old. Still have it and use it. It's a 3 dot finger groove.

My have I piled up the Buck's over the last few years!
