I find that I frequently give a knife as a gift. Sometimes for birthdays, sometimes because the persom doesn't have one.

I thought about this as I am about to order another SAK Soldier. I have given 4 of them away now. I have given others away, but for some reason this model is the one that I think of the most often.
Others?

Kitchen cutlery is on top of my list alot. Something about a smooth chefs knife makes the women feel good ;) I see it as a benifit for males also, because if the woman cooks for you.. its just gunna get done faster. Who said killing 2 birds with 1 stone is bad in gift giving hehe :)

Victorinox Signatures are what I give away most. Nice and compact for the keychain. Even sheeple like them!

I think I've given away at least 7 or 8 in the past 9 months or so.

Leatherman Micra's

I know it is not really a knife but it does have a blade, flippin sharp one as well.

I have given loads of these as presants over the past few years and they are allways well received.

Gave my son-in-law a custom made knife for Christmas. After listening to him pi$$ and moan for years, cause I made knives for everyone else in the family, he finally got his. Deer horn handle with finger grooves, polyester bolster and end cap with a 4 in.,L6 blade hardened to about 61-62 on Rc scale. Now he's happy!

Right now the Commerative Spyderco Worker has been given as gifts more then any others. Usually it is one of the FRN Spydercos.

Franklin Mint knives make great gifts! At least, that's what my relatives must think. ;)

On a serious note, Victorinox knives make great gifts. Inexpensive, yet of good quality.

To folks who are getting their first or primary knife I like to give Spyderco Enduras. If it is to someone who has knives already I like to give the speed assist Kershaws.

I've only given one knife as a gift and it was a pink Victorinox Classic to my sister. If I were to were to give another, it would be a Case or a Ken Onion/Kershaw. Case has some nice knives that come with gift boxes.

HI khukuris. Everyone that receives one says "Holy  " They are awesome blades.

I´ve given out quit a few knives, usually mid-size SAKs, some stockmans, several multitools, several lockbacks, my father in law likes electrician knives so he has received a couple (and he gave me his old stockman).

Spydercards, 4 so far. Everyone who sees one seems to be fascinated with it, especially folks who aren't really into knives.

SAK's are my favorite gift to friends, especially those going over seas for various reasons.

To date my gifts are currently helping to smuggle religious and medicals supplies into Southern Sudan, and my most recent gift of a SAK Tinker is soon leaving with a Special Forces friend who is awaiting travel papers to a certain Middle Eastern country that's one the news a lot lately!!

I told him that ALL of the people I have given SAK's to as the left have returned home safetly, so he better not ruin my record!!!

Can't give his name for the obvious reasons, but I ask you all to keep him and his fellow "Shadow Warriors" in your thoughts!

CFD2941's give 'em away all the time.

Just kidding!
I usually only give away old beaters or just sell the knives I get that I wind up not liking.

I am with you, Ed, I must have given 20-30 Victorinox Soldiers away in the last three or four years. Everyone on the planet should have at least one of these knives.
