Snagged this damascus toothpick from Don Hanson III
a couple weeks before Christmas '05, pretty much an edc since then.
Don was having a sale for the widow of a collector friend of his.

I just love it

Me too! I really love it. Honestly I think it is a little awkward to hold compared to some others...but I can't get enough of the shape, lines, and the patina of the ZDP... The whole aesthetic really gets me going. Yep, I just love it too. :p:thumbup::thumbup:

Love the XD. No love for the RAT. Still, a nice pic taken.

If IIRC you've expressed your dislike of RAT cutlery a couple times in various posts. If I'm mistaking you for someone else then my sincerest apologies. If it was you then I'm just curious what it is that's caused you to dislike them so much?

I'm not a fanboy, but I'll call it like I see it and I've had nothing but good experiences with them, the dealers I've bought from, and to be quite honest, their subforum members are some of the nicest I've dealt with. Trust me, I belong to quite a few forums and it seems that lately most of them just have a bunch of jerk-offs whose sole intent is to stir crap up and instigate a lot of BS. The RAT subforums on the other hand are the total opposite. I've witnessed situations where members have been robbed, fallen on hard times, etc, and other members have gotten together online to chip in and help replace lost/stolen gear, etc etc.
As far as Jeff Randall (RAT Co-owner) goes, he's a no nonsense, to the point kind of guy. He doesn't fluff stuff up but tells you like it is, even when it comes to their own RAT product. In my exposure to him he's only exuded integrity and honesty.

That snake is awesome man...got a full picture of him?
You're right! I was so focused on the knife the snake didn't even register to me!
What is that, a reticulating python or something similar?

I'd love to get a snake but my wife ain't havin it!

No picture yet, but the Emerson Persian in my pocket is the best birthday present I have treated myself to in a long time.
Man I love this blade!
