If I had to pick one knife manufacturer that I trust the most to consistently deliver a quality product, it would be Spyderco. Quality control is something that means a lot to me, and the tolerances at Spyderco are tight. That means a lot to me. Of course, it comes with a price. For me, Spyderco consistently delivers.

Of the brands that I support with my wallet, all of them have good quality and support (CPK, Buck, CRK, Spyderco, Hinderer, GEC, etc.). I have never had to send a knife in though. Spyderco for me has not been better than the others (occasional issues like lock-stick, slow email responses, etc.).

None. That's why after service is a major factor in my purchases and decision of whether the price of a knife is reasonable (no or poor service history like Spyderco means I'm not willing to pay as much, while CRK will get my money at retail price).

I wasn’t going to say anything, but ……..recent knife center exclusive $270 kapara with bent tip and dull tip. Also a couple other times this year Spyderco was a big letdown.

Of the companies I have bought multiple knives from, CRK and Carothers have been 100% perfect. Benchmade, Spyderco, Hogue, Spartan, Buck, Victorinox, Survive (I know), and probably some I am forgetting are top tier as well.

Victorinox
Most major Chinese made brands CJRB, Kansept, Civivi, Vosteed, RR, Rosecraft, etc.
MKM group and the rest of the Italian related brands
Boker, these days.
Case XX has too been good to me
Opinel
Cold Steel

Most major brands usually deliver

I have never gotten a bum/dud Spyderco, Cold Steel, Kershaw, Benchmade or CRK. I have gotten a flawed BUCK, which they fixed right away. Case is hit or miss the past decade or so. I still buy them. These new Chinese companies have been pretty impressive with their QC. Civivi & Kansept are all I can think of at the moment, but theres more.

I must have been unlucky with Case. I have gotten ones with gaps in the scale, pins too high & uneven grinds. 85% have been perfect though.
