What knife manufacturer do you trust the most to deliver a quality product?

I would think this should be sorted into tiers based on cost- it’s difficult to fairly compare a $500 knife to a $30 knife. With that said, I have seen the most consistent product on the high end from Chris Reeve and on the lower end from Victorinox. In the middle of the pricing spectrum GEC has been top notch for me.

Some not mentioned and often overlooked: White River Knives, Smith and Sons, and Pro-tech. White River Knives is so shockingly impressive with their quality, fit and finish, etc. that I have custom knives that are far more expensive and lack some of the amazing finish of WRK.

Pro-tech is also great and their warranty is top quality. I have a Rockeye that had lock failure once, a broken spring once, and finally the spring in the button broke. Each time it was fixed and returned in a week or so. The second time Dave personally assembled and tuned my knife then sent me a bunch of stickers and other swag.

I own a Smith and Sons Marshland Trapper and have handled some of their fixed blades. The Trapper has better fit and finish than any other knife I own. It has milled pockets to accept the ricasso, and the milling is exact and barely perceptible. The amount of detail that went into something so simple is amazing. The micarta is buttery smooth.

I would swear they had a monkey on the grinder sometimes. (no offense! 😁 )
yep. with the volume they kick out im amazed the bad ones are as good as they are.......

jokes aside....i agree with what ya said in first post on it......

It's such a shame. I've always loved Case. There's no reason they can't have the consistency that Victorinox has after all these years.

I mostly own CRK, Victorinox, Golden and Taichung Spyderco, Mora, Hultafors, BRKT, Buck and Condor for machetes and i am completely happy with all of them. Ruike from China is fine too.

Les George of course! I’ve had quite a few pass through me mitts and his consistency has always been one of the things that impress me the most. And not just consistency in models but even over the years. For example I’m pretty sure every single LG I have locks up in exactly the same spot. For whatever reason that impresses the hell out of me.

All hail 👑 George!!!

There are actually many brands whom I trust that when I buy a knife, a quality product will be in my hands at the end of the transaction. In no particular order:

- Buck
- CRK
- Les George Knives
- Spyderco
- McNees
- Cold Steel
- Victorinox
- Olamic Cutlery
- Great Eastern Cutlery
- Curtiss Custom Knives
- Becker Knives
- Rosecraft Knives
- Spartan Knives

Many others I'm forgetting. But these are the main companies where I can see a new knife from them that I want, and know it's going to arrive in my mailbox right, tight, and sharp. This is through personal experience, and with several of those names, many, many knives and the experience of thousands of dollars worth of purchases, across many different price points. At no point does it ever enter my mind when purchasing knives listed from the above "Man, I am really hoping to get a good one this time."

I don’t have any gripes with any manufacturer except case but there’s a few big time dealers I would like to kick in the butt ! And a couple of them are supporting dealers on this forum !
