What knife would you buy for your girlfriend?

The reason I ask is because I want a nice knife for myself, and I want one that I like the look of and is also a good knife. I've tried looking into them, but there are so many, and there's an endless selection of overly macho styles that don't interest me. I've been borrowing my friend's Kershaw Leek, and I've come to like the assisted opening feature, especially at work, where I've been using it to cut up boxes. I might get my own, or one like it, when I eventually have to give it back to her. Before I do that, I thought I'd ask this question, just to see what else is out there. Thanks!

do you want a knife that has feminine colors or what...im confused.
as far as feminine colors go:
benchmade has a pink griptilian
spyderco has pink delicas
kershaw has pink knives as well as the rainbow finish which is rather neat

those are just off of the top of my head

I bought my wife a SAK classic, but it sounds like you're looking for a bit more knife than that. I'm sure a leek would serve you well.

Whatever one she liked/needed. Be it a 9" chopper, to a 1 1/2 inch folder. No knife discrimination based on gender from me!:p

They make some pretty nice box cutter replaceable blades, utility knives folder with nice colors, pocket clip the whole deal.

ag russell ultimate pen knife in abalone 1 1/2" blade or ag russell 2.5" titanium lockback. these are neat small knives. I was looking at them for my girlfriend too.

Im trying to watch last of the mohicans, eat my duck breasts, i just took off the grill finish steaming brocc. and stiring red beans and rice, while reading ag russell catalogue, and blade magazine and tactical knives. while i recommend these knives for your sweetheart, by the way

buy the one that interests YOU the most , chances are SHE won't like it and now YOU have a new knife.

I bought mine this.

I actually have three of them already. :P A big one, a little one, and a surplus military issue one, which is my favourite. I'd just use it, except for the nail opening thing. It's bad enough as it is, but I have to wear gloves at work and it's quite impractical there.

Just bought my wife a Kershaw Chive.

Perfect size for her (WAY too small for my mitts though)
This is another one I'm considering, but I'd like to see one in person before choosing it. I'm quite tall and don't have the tiny hands it seems meant for. It's cute though, I like it.

Someone at work has one of those. I think it's a neat idea, but I am still wary of box cutter blades breaking apart. I don't feel safe using them.

Sorry, I should have made it clearer... I'm a woman buying a knife for myself, not a man buying a knife for a girlfriend.

Thanks everyone so far for ideas, It helps.

Here are some that I have carried.

Spyderco Lava
Benchmade Mini-grip
Strider PT
