What knife would you buy if only it was Magna Cut?

Captain obvious says a high demand steel switch is a great way for knife manufacturers to increase sales without a bunch or R&D. Of course the people who pay attention to steel choices are the minority of buyers but more likely to pay more.

Look: Paul CPE_Knives CPE_Knives is just putting this one in the mail for me today. In AEB-L. 5.5” blade, 0.25” stock, less than 9oz. And I trust Paul’s HT. Now that one gets me really excited. Magnacut or not ? MEH.

David Mary, how thin is "that thinness." blade stock and behind the edge?
I'm in line for 2022 MagnaCut blade replacement with stock at 0.09 hollow ground, BTE at 0.0010" starting at 30 degrees inclusive.

I would duplicate almost every of the favorite blades I already have.
There is particular desire to see PM2 in Magnacut, I like to see this very useful knife with little bit stronger tip of the blade that it is now.
I think preserving the same geometry but using stronger steel, will get it exactly where I like to see it...
 
Wow! OK, my BTE came from homework and my slicey reference knife, a stock Benchmade Shoki 480 that has s30v blade stock of 0.09”, and stock hollow ground to BTE of ~0.015" inches with a 30 degree +/- 1.x degrees inclusive apex.
OP, make mine a Benchmade 940, I think the frame and Osborne's spine geometry fits, with thinner blade stock taking advantage of MagnaCut's relative toughness.

To be honest, I'm still not sure if I "need" it .... CPM Cruwear, 3V, Infi and AEB-L are still tougher, M390 is still more corrosion resistant. Toughness/wear resistance of Magnacut are right in between. Would be cool to try a Magnacut Manix 2 for $120, but (for now) to put all bets on it to buy a more expensive knife - it's just too early, I feel.

From what I have read, seen and understand, Magnacut is actually more corrosion resistant than M390. I believe it hangs with, or is an iota under, LC200N

I have not seen MagnaCut or LC200N rust, so they are both "rust proof" in the context of my own life and carry. And yes, it is the toughness I like. That being said, there are some knives I think I would rather have in MagnaCut than LC200N, such as dedicated cardboard or food cutters. But for a versatile EDC, I think I am still going to have to go with LC200N.
 
A new Spyderco that hasn't been seen yet.
Idk that magnacut has me overly excited.
I'm happy with cruwear and others that have been mentioned.

It's a nice steel I'm sure, yet it doesn't offer anything that I don't have at this point.

Watch 6 mos they offer a knife with magnacut sprint run, I'm going to eat my words... because it's od green
 
I need to test some magnacut out before I can tell you what knife I’d like to see it in!
