What knife would you choose in an emergency situation?

Can I ask what the metal rings are for on the one?
 
I have several bags with everything from ammo and binoculars to range finder and thermal weapons sights, but they all have at least a Pork Shank in each one.
You will also find a spark, 550 cord, cylums and fire starter along with a folder like a Strider SMF.
I keep a Microtech OTF in my pocket at all times
I keep the Chuckette' hanging in the van and never walk out of the house without Mr. Brown
 
With me will be either a small sebenza or manix 2. The small for a folder will do whatever needs to be done. The manix 2 does just as well.
 
Unfortunately, due to the nature of my job, there's no way I can conceivably carry a fixed blade on workdays, so my AMS has to stay home. I'd leave it in my car, but I don't trust the area totally, so it's safer leaving at home. I do carry it with me whenever I have the chance. As for what I do carry on workdays, I...shall we say "get away with" having my PM2 in CTS-204P and a Leatherman Skeletool CX. Not really ideal in a situation where I'd need some serious leverage, but will certainly shine in slicing through seat belts, clothing, etc. I'll leave extraction to the professionals unless it's desperate. Then I'll use whatever I can lay my hands on. I've been meaning to get a crowbar or something for my car for such an occasion...

I carry a B11 in my BOB and a Wilson Starlight Tactical folder in my pocket along with a Surefire L2 Lumamax.

Yeah. Those are to attach that sheath to a belt dangler, or to a baldric strap. Dwayne helped me with my design, and has made me sheaths for several different knives now, that use those attachments.
 
Magnum Bear Cub in my purse, AMS in my car and the TGLB in my room :D I always switch up everything just so my knives don't get bored :thumbup:
