I think the PPK is 380. weak by todays standards but the ballistic equivalent of the 38 speciial which was carried by cops for decades.Since the original James Bond carried a .25 auto, and then later he jumped up to a whopping .32 auto….
I will give him this, civivi rustic gent pocket knife

I was aware it was initially the beretta .25 but i thought he went to a 380 ppk after that. thanks for the correction. Did he at some point have a .380?Ian Fleming carried a Berretta 418 that was .25ACP during his service in WW2, so thats what Bond originally carried in the first 5 stories. In Dr No, the sixth novel, he was issued a 7.65ACP Walther PPK after the Berretta nearly got him killed in From Russia with Love.
The movie chronology is different because they weren't made in the same order as the novels were written.
I think in the movie Skyfall he used a 9mm PPK/S. However, the books are often quite different from the movies.I was aware it was initially the beretta .25 but i thought he went to a 380 ppk after that. thanks for the correction. Did he at some point have a .380?
