What knife would you use?

Okay, you're on a fishing trip you've planned for years. (Salmon in Alaska, or trout in Montanna, or...)

You've just had a great dinner at the main lodge, fresh cooked from what you've cought that day by a real chef, and you're walking back to your cabin. As you pass a cabin there are some of the old codgers who are the fishing guides for the area, and they invite you to join them on the porch. There's a spare chair, and a bottle with some tin cups on a up ended crate. Some of them are whittling, and as you sit down, one hands you a piece of wood. What knife do you take out of your pocket?:D

This will be a fun thread.

One of these is in my pocket everyday. I do tend to lean towards the Chamblin:

And now I'm gonna grab my flyrod and head towards my favorite creek. Have a great Saturday!

I would use my yellow CV peanut probably. Not my fanciest knife and not my favorite whittler though it does do a nice job. It would be my choice because I all ways have it on me, and my only other choice I would probably have on me would be a Queen folding hunter. Joe

Well I would just pull out my little yellow handled pen knife and join the party

Zip7: what pattern is that?

If it were on a fishing trip, it'd probably be my Buck trio, which I've been carrying a whole lot recently. I picked it up on a whim at Wal-Mart for $8 and haven't been let down.

4 blade Case Congress (Yellow, CV)

Jackknife, that's an imaginative scenario leading to a fun question. I think I would probably pull an old Case Sodbuster out of my pocket to join then in their whittle session. You can tell I'm not into fancy or fads. :D

Mine would be a Schrade 33OT, not fancy or pretty but always on me.

Reckon it would be whatever I pulled out of my pocket or off my belt. A Case trapper or mini-trapper most likely from the pocket. Off the belt, either my Eddie White/Shadowknives blade, Boker 519HH, or Marble's Fieldcraft. However, given we're talking salmon streams, it might just be a plastic handled Mora.
