What Knife You Bought Have You Owned The Longest?

The knife I bought, which I still have, and have had the longest, is this FB, which I bought in 1979. I carried it all over Europe and the Middle East, as well as here in England, and it still occassionally gets a bit of time on my hip :)

I bought it from an old Sheffield cutlery shop called Morton's.

Stan Shaw used to do a couple of hours work upstairs after he had finished work at Ibberson's, but the knife wasn't made by Stan. It was made by a long-deceased Sheffield cutler called Stuart Mitchell, shown here working on one of my Jack Black Knives U-1 knives. Stuart was a jobbing cutler for most of his career, and did work for a lot of Sheffield cutlery firms.

The folder, I bought myself, which I still have, and have had the longest is this Victorinox Mauser Officer's Knife, which I bought in 1982. It still sees regular use

Bought this 2 dot Buck 110 in the 1970's, carried it for several years at work and on hunting trips, kind of lost track of it for 30 years or so and then one day while shooting clays with my brother he pulled it out of his range bag to open a flat of shells. Traded him another 110 to get it back.

That's a nice one Augie! I have my 2 dot 110 that I bought around the same time. That thing sure gutted a lot of deer. It's really surprising how well the knives that I've had for 40 or even 60 years have held up. I was taught from a very young age not to abuse tools, so other than some scratches, honest wear on the handles & blades, and patina, they all could still be every day carriers.

This buck 110 two dot is the knife I have had the longest that I bought myself, is also the knife I have owned the longest. I bought it in the fall of 1975 for $22. It's not my first knife nor is it the first knife I bought, just the knife I have had the longest.

Bought this in the 70's, still using it

A couple more knives that probably have a lot of stories. Especially with the amount of blade that's gone on Old Biker's.

Oldest knife that I personally purchased that I still have in my possession.
I dunno. Got given knives from my parents. Lost various knives over the years.
Think the oldest that I personally purchased and actually still have would be a Camillus-Buck 303 purchased sometime in the early to mid 70's.

Thanks @Kevin B I've always kinda kept care of this one, I still even have the original sheath. Couldn't afford a buck back then, this was the next best thing "rustproof steel"

My 1984 8OT Stockman I got as a Graduation Present from HS! Any of the rest are gone in the sands of time! I also got a Kabar folder I had since HS that stays in the tackle box in the barn.

As more of a collector than a user, I still have most of the knives Ive purchased ever since I was a kid. The only pieces not here are likely cheapo balisongs/autos that have broken and been discarded.

The oldest knife I own, that I paid for, not a gift is a Craftman single blade Trapper (copy of a Schrade 194OT) that I bought at Sears in 1971, Next oldest is a Puma Game Warden I bought right after I finished Basic training in 1972.
