What knives DON'T work for you?

I had a tanto titanium dive knife. I didn't really like the tanto aesthetically, but it was actually a good design attribute for a dive knife as you do a lot of prying with one - e.g. removing oysters from rocks etc. The titanium wasn't as good as perhaps the top end titanium knives. It would go dull quite quickly and yet was hard to sharpen. I still can't figure it out - soft but hard to sharpen.....

Like most of my dive knives, it ended in the drink. I'm back using a gerber river knive that ESAV generously gifted to me through a contest. It replaced a former gerber knife I had that like the tanto whent in the drink. The gerber is a great dive knife. Thick enough to pry and the 420J remains corrosion resistant. Unlike the titanium one, even though the metal is kind of soft, it is at least easy to sharpen!

The Tanto, just like all other points and grinds, has its place and does it's job well.
