I have really, really been lusting after an Emerson CQC-16 (AKA Bushman) and I've left some hints for my wife ;)

Not much here. I hope Santa squeezes his jolly butt down my chimeny with an M14 and 10000 rounds of ammo, and a Les Baer thunder ranch 1911.

I already know what will be under the tree for me.

What I really want is for the next year to be full of outdoor excitement and time to use the stuff I already have. Fishing, hunting, camping, hiking, boating, camp fires, learning and of course, sharing all of it with friends, family and the good folks here.

This year was tough with travel for work but I'll be making a huge effort to not waste a single opportunity.

If Santa has that in his bag for me this Christmas, I'll be happy. At least 'til I can ask him for the same thing next Christmas.

i don't think that santa will be bringing me much this year in the way of gear or knives.... but it's all good... my kids will still be getting lots of cool stuff...

Mine too Mike, and thats all I care about!!

My boys are gonna freak out. My wife really outdid herself this year.

I do have a sweet Laconico under the tree and one on the way, and an Izula / w RAT firekit coming this week. So I guess merry christmas to me.

I dont care bout that as much as spending the day with my family, and poppin in to see you all, and sitting back with a nice cigar, my firepit, and a hot cup of good coffee.

I hear that. My wife and I usually spend a lot at Christmas because we don't buy much the rest of the year. But this will be a leaner one for sure.

For me I usually buy what I want thru the year as does my wife and we may pick up a gift apiece for each other just for the sake of Xmas but we go all out on our son , X-mas is for the kids by the way.....& toys for tots programs

Our Christmas is mostly about our son and my wife and I put a "cap" on what we will spend for each other. It has gone way down since we have a child but we also try to get what we want throughout the year as well.

My wife finished her Master's Degree this year so I also took care of her there as well.

So far I know that I have a Maxpedition Monsoon Khaki and a BK-9 coming, I placed the order. :D

I just got the BK-2 Campanion and have a Izula on the way as well.

I also got a Busse SFNO LE (#8) and I have a ScrapYard Son Of DogFather awaiting deliveries.

I'm sure I'll get some pants and things like that as well.

I'm going to try to control the knife spending in 2009 a lot more. :foot:

Christmas hasn't been the same since my mother passed away, her birthday is the 24th of december so, I'm always on a lil down around the holidays. None the less I plan on spoiling my daughter as much as I can but won't be expecting much since I've already dipped into my piggybank for the gear I wanted this year.

Kiddos got a sh!t ton of stuff this year! me and wifey one or two presents apiece. Me= Becker Necker and Zombie Survival Guide ( i know i know...it is a funny good read tho).... Wifey wanted stuff for kiddo parties theater style popcorn maker, ice cream maker, etc.

There is not enough space on this reply and under our tree for what we got the kiddos tho....im pumped to see em open their gifts!

Slight thread drift: does anyone know how long toys for tots will accept donations? I was going to go to the dollar store to get a few bags of the cool toys (like army guys! or ninja stars) to donate, but I won't be able to until this weekend. Need to call 'em...

I'm really excited about giving certain gifts this year. I found a neat record player for my wife (she's been wanting one) and a few records with it.

For myself, not much I need! Maybe a new billy pot, which is all I really 'suggested'.

Hoping for a Case medium stockman, a Hard takedown case for my Franchi double I got last year and a new Fenix light, but we will see.

Carl-

Mrs. Santa is broke this year just like me so there won't be any kind of big gift exchange. I'm only getting one thing and it's because she forced me to pick something. I'll be tearing the wrapping paper off my new cheapo woods jacket on Xmas day.

edit: and I think my mother bought me two boxes of 7.62x54R.

I already know of at least 3 bladed things I'm getting.
Grohmann #4 Survival
Benchmade Mini Ruckus (first Benchmade, first axis lock)
Gerber Suspension multi.
There may be more that I don't know about.

No blades for me this year... I know I know:rolleyes:

But I have the feeling, that I'll be gettin' quite a few books.

Peter

My wife and I are not exchanging gifts this year, the money went to the kids and grandkids presents. I`m sure that I will get some stuff from them, the youngest daughter has a real knack for finding unusual Buck knives that I don`t have. Our anniversary is today, so we are going to dinner tonight, and my wife`s birthday is January 1st, so I need to figure out something for that.
