I have a tale of Lost then Found knife. I rotate my EDC knives every once in a while and five weeks ago had been carrying my Mayo TNT medium recurve. I ALWAYS put my EDC in the same spot in a cabinet in my kitchen (with wallet, keys, watch, etc.). Five weeks ago I could not find the Mayo TNT. I looked everywhere and then some. I have three boys (ages 8,5 and 3) and they have been "known" to get into that cabinet, I did not know if it was them, if I really lost it somewhere, if it was outside sitting somewhere (at least being a TNT I knew if I found it two years from now in my backyard it would not be rusted

), but I felt like I was losing my mind. I just started a new job, was extremly busy but felt like I had a split personallity. Over and over I kept looking for the knife, could not concentrate on things, etc. My wife kept saying "Don't worry, I'll find it" (she usually finds these "little" things I misplace). I even offered her and the kids a $50 reward if they found it. She searched everywhere, negative results. I thought.....gone for good and dang, it was kinda a nice knife anyways

.
Last week we are putting away Christmas stuff (ornamets, lights, etc) I headed off to work in my "glum" mood over my lost TNT. My wife calls me that night and says "Guess what? I found your knife, it was in one of the Christmas boxes." Must have fallen into one of the boxes when I was using to cut open the things each year. Talk about relief! She was stoked, gave her $50. I was estatic, got one of my TNT's back

.
Happy ending to a lost knife story. Maybe I should collect cars, harder to lose
