This is not a competition!
Your knife is just as good as any knife that gets posted.
These knives are created from "our being" as we see the world. Every one of them should be respected equally.
How many people around you can craft a knife? That should say plenty!
We all have a muse and follow it. Passion makes the world go around.

My first of the year and ever. Many more to follow hopefully...

Darrel,
I'm just kidding. Your knives are a great inspiration to all of us. I know it's not a real competition but you're tough to follow. thanks for the thread.

John,
Thanks for great words sir! It is an honor coming from you.

I feel the same way about everyone here.
We each have something special that shows in our work.
I love you blade style!
I like the TekSek knife also.
The blade on it is fantastic also.
That is just my eye and what I see that inspires me.

Darrel, Your inlay are beautiful , why not post some thread so us newcomers can see how a pro does it.

Thanks again for the great words.
What would you have great interest in?

For making inlays I wish I had an article that Mel Pardue wrote for Blade Mag several years ago using a drill press and a heavy plate to make them! It would be great for a newcomer!

Your knife is top of the line from what I can see on this side of the computer. Beautiful inlay work and it looks gorgeous with the Damascus. Thanks for posting this diamond to see Darrel Ralph: A+--------------

Wow Darrel those are gorgeous

Here is a couple I got done,I might end up taking the cable knife back apart its not so nice in person :o Them wrought iron bolsters are a bit too heavy.

How you all doin',

Here are several that got finished/almost finished this year.

PICT2093-1.jpg

These are made from a bar of 1084 that I got from IG. I made them up for Christmas presents for the guys I jam with, "The Lightning Brothers". The pic shows 7 neck knives, but there are 4 more making a total of 11 blades and sheaths, paracord with core removed for the handles. I put them in this thread because they were never finished until late January

This one is a 120 layers, I kinda like it. It still needs to have the hardware (wrought iron {this is the almost finished part}) finished. I got the wrought and the handle material (I believe it is stabilized elk) also from IG, (what a guy that Wa..Wa...Wally is :D ).

BBBBBB Beaver, that is elk that was stablized with blue dye.
This is the best knife that Larry has made to date. SWEEEEET!!!

I just smacked my forehead when I saw the paracord larry :D Is it epoxy coated and squished? Looks better than the way I did it! That elk does look nice.
Great looking knives all around guys

Thanks Joe,

I removed the core from the paracord, which flattens it right out, then wrapped the handle and used Barge Cement (no epoxy at all), which will leave the handle a bit tacky so it always gives a non-slip grip :D

I'll bring one to IG's HI. See you there.

Now were cooking!
Great stuff from everyone.
Don Coop has great taste!
Can you post that beauty?:D

Please try to post you pics guys even if they are in thumbs!
