What knives you really use?

Small Classic Sebenza

Benchmade 3100

Benchmade 921

Kershaw Junkyard Dog

Byrd SS Finch

Those would be the 5 that I carry most often. I usually carry my Sebenza and my 3100 together (unless I will be places where I don't want to carry an auto, then sub the Finch). I usually carry the 921 by itself since it has two blades.

Kershaw Lahar
Cold Steel Scimitar
Emerson Tanto Folder
Folding Hissatsu
Crawford Falcon
Crawford Neck Falcon

I ALWAYS have at least two on me.

This is easy.

1. Cold Steel Bushman (I use it as a Chefs Knife in the kitchen. It is an excellent kitchen knife).
2. Opinel Inox (I use it as a paring knife in the kitchen. Nothing peels onions better, or faster).
3. Opinel Folding fillet Knife (we eat a lot of fresh fish).
4. Gerber Scout 600 Multi-tool
5. Gerber Nautilus

and for shaving, I use either a Dovo, or Genco straight razor.

These get used daily as utility tools. For carrying, Here is what I use:

1. Cold Steel Xtra Large Voyager, Tanto Point, Straight Blade.
2. Gerber Nautilus
3. Gerber Scout 600 Multi-Tool
4. Cold Steel Large Voyager, Clip Point, Serrated Blade
5. Cold Steel Kobun in my boot.

EDC: Small regular Sebbie (plain), G10 Caly 3, H&K14210. I've settled into a rotation of these 3.

For hiking or camping I'll take one of the above and add either a mini-Manix, a Para-Millie, or a large dog paw Sebbie.

Kershaw Lahar ( primary SD blade )
Spyderco 3rd Gen Endura ( secondary SD blade)
SAK super tinker (city use) or huntsman ( in rural area deployment)
Wenger Soldier ( go to blade )
Benchmade rescue 5

These are all EDC'd on my person. Wouldn't leave home without them.

At home I carry either one of the big folders and the Soldier. But I sleep with the Spydie.

benchmade 705 - edc for 2 years
Benchmade benchmite is usually on me too, but it doesn't get used as much.

I don't have 10 knives but out of the half dozen I do own these 3 see regular rotation:

Strider PT
HK 14210
Caly3 G10/VG10

Dave

A SAK of some sort
A Trapper or Toothpick slippie
And either a BRKT Mikro-Canadian (office) or BRKT Canadian Special with a BRKT Golok on the pack (bush)

Others as the mood strikes me!

Right now, being the winter season and all, the knives that see use here are:

- Busse Game Warden
- Fällkniven F1
- Ranger Knives RD9
- Tommipuukko (Arkitommi, by Kaartinen)
- M.95 Sissipuukko
- SAK Ranger

Depends on what I'm doing and feel like using at that time. :)

Hey, Perkele... :D Got any pictures of the M.95, especially spine shots of the tip?

all of them

btw how do you like the m95

i think its one of the best finnish factory made knives, its large enough for choppin larger branches to start a fire,or makin tent poles outta frozen wood, its easy to sharpen and maintain, wont break or loose its figure if i use it as a hammer or hit it with log, when splittin wood.i also have the earlier, somekinda prototype if this knife,it has simplier sheath with no plastic liner, and beside that its as good as the basic m95.they now have introduced the m95,that has about an inch shorter blade and kydex(?) sheath.

That prototype looking one you've got, I think, is the RK-62 assault rifle bayonet by Fiskars that preceded the M.95.

ZDP endura se
Endura 3 SE VG10
stretch 2 ZDP
Kershaw Blur SG2
Millie BG42 or D2, or just beginning to use the S90V
MT01 52100

There was m93 (?) that looked like a beefed up m62 bayonet. It was no prototype. It was the first model Sissipuukko from Peltonen.

From most recent companion back chronologically:

Bark River Huntsman in KSF sheath (I cut fresh warm French bread with it yesterday!)
Spyderco S30V Native
Buck #503 Prince
Buck #419 Kalinga Pro
Buck #110 customs
Kershaw Dam Leek
Kershaw Scallion & Blur
Buck regular #110
Buck #301 Stockman
Vic SAKs (from early 70's)

Of course, they are/were all EDC knives... my dedicated carving/whittling knives were omitted.

Indeed. I can't remember, for the life of me, what model number that first Sissipuukko had. The M.95 is much nicer, though.
