What large heavy folder would you get (new or used) with a budget of about 120.00?

BM 275. Don't get much more heavy duty than that. The BM 810 would be a close second for new knife models.

I also have to say bm 275, I have one and it is just a beast. If that's too expensive, then a cold steel recon 1 is a good option, only negatives to me are aus8 blade steel which is better than most people think, and the cheap blade coating. The clip point plain edge recon 1 can be found running for less than $60 through the AMAZON.

I did get the Manix2.
If I wanted larger, I'd try the XL, or the 0350.
If you bump up the price range to $160, I'd have a lot of trouble deciding between the M4 Manix2 and the 0200. Depends on how large and heavy you really want to go.

Honestly, if I want something the size and weight of a large, heavy folder in the $120 range - I'm going to pick up a 4-5" fixed blade, probably from ESEE or Ka-Bar/Becker.
I can't carry it concealed in my locale, and I wouldn't carry it every day - but I wouldn't EDC a large, heavy folder either. I wouldn't hesitate to carry either one if I knew I was going to need it.
As an occasional-carry, hard-use knife that's the way I would lean.
I do keep an M4 Manix2 in my GHB, right next to my "sharpened prybar", for just-in-case; but for large-heavy type tasks, I'll grab the FB every time.
