What light weight slim fixed blades do your wives (significant others) have?

My wife and niece saw my new Bark River Mini-Northstar and I almost lost it! Sorry I don't have a better picture uploaded! It is the one on the right. ;)

Flix how is that kershaw hatchet?

Fonly, I'm not sure if I have enough experience with hatchets to evaluate the Kershaw. It feels solidly build, but I think the head could be a little heavier.

Another thought: BÖKER Arbolito fixed blades in stag or micarta are lightweight and come in well-worked leather sheathes, a South American speciality.

The Fallkniven WM1 would be a good choice. My girlfriend uses a CS Canadian Belt Knife. Its cheap and effective and she likes the blade design.

I bought my wife her first knife around her birthday. A M-16 by CRKT. Tonto blade and black zyrtel(SP) handles. Then when my Active Duty by Busse got in she got to handle it before I did. I had to pry it out of her hands twice in the first week I had it. I will probelly have to get her one of her own if I ever hope to keep her from swiping it again. Don't get me wrong I think its great she likes knives and guns.

I am going to vote for a Spyderco Calypso Jr. or a Kershaw S30V Leek. Both are great little folders that your wife will get a lot of use out of.

Another option for cheap and light weight are the SAK paring knives in a custom kydex sheath. I do a lot of these and they cut like you wouldn't believe and work great in kydex!!
