what lights ya carry??

When "it" hits the fan the first thing I will reach for is a towel. Never leave home with out a towel. As for lights with All of the ones I use I would not feel "in the dark" with. My Fenix T1 is I think my best SHTF light.

Yes, the towel is very important to have along with a flashlight. ;) And don't forget to ask the right question. :foot: LOL!!

I have a 3 D-cell Maglite that sits on my dresser for decoration. My main light is a Surefire G2 with a cree R2 5 mode led it goes from the house to my day bag and back when I'll be out after dark. I also keep a Fenix E01 on my keychain. Princeton tec headlamp hangs on my bed for reading. All of them but the Maglite go with me when camping or out of town.

I've been thinking about getting upgrading the E01 to an AAA or AA with more light. Suggestions are appreciated. (Just ordered the Maratac AAA and ITP A3 EOS)

I carry a Fenix P3D everyday in my jacket and it's great with many levels of brightness. If I'm going out somewhere questionable though, I take a Surefire 6P led or an even more powerful Surefire. They have been great at stopping charging dogs in their tracks on a few occasions. I walk at night and not everyone leashes their dog, the Surefire makes them keep their distance:D

How do you like that?
I've got one on order right now, to complement the small cheap (but very bright) led I keep on my mini set.
Other than that I only have a single mode cheap Romisen, that is also very bright, but as there is no low mode it eats through my batteries pretty fast.

The iTP A3 EOS upgrade is awesome :D. It's super light and unobtrusive, 3 modes with a nice bright high and a low low, great beam and it's even got a clip. I used to have Fenix E01s on all my keychains, this iTP doesn't cost much more and is so much better . I was going to upgrade to a Fenix LD01, but this iTP seemed to be the better buy to me. Really a great EDC keychain light. I wish there was a little more texture to it, but that's the only (minor) negative I can think of.

cool. now I have a long hard wait in front of me, as it was (again) an overseas order - but that way the iTP is even cheaper than Fenix bought locally ...

I've a First Light Tomohawk ST enroute. It will go on the Pals webbing of my Mission Go Bag, thereby freeing up some room inside the bag.

So far Fenix is the best bang for the buck, everything seems so overpriced compared to them.
I have a PD30 (and a headband for handsfree use!), mainly for outdoors use.
I'll prob get the new LD05 to tweak up my EDC a little bit.

My Fenix L2D is powered by a 10 piece set of new AA Eneloops, and I couldn't ask for more. This light is as outstanding as they all say. 180 lumens are more than I'd ever really need, and even if I left home without it, a pretty "weak" but everlasting E01 is on my keychain for about a year now, ready for action. Not the brightest light, but in the dark, even this little thing puts out enough light to find what I'm looking for. As a combo, I think I've found my flashlight EDC in the years to come (that is, until something amazingly better comes around ;)) That said, the Fenix LD01 is tempting... :D

Take a look at the Quark mini AA, Maratac AAA & AA or ITP A2 (AA) ITP A3 (AAA) Also the Fenix LOD /LDO1 and LD10. My pick would be the Quark I just with it had a pocket clip

I've carried a AA Fenix for years but recently switched over to a used Nitecore EZAA light. Man that thing is small and bright. Simple user controls, twist on low light, twist on more bright light. It's easy to carry all the time.

I have a few lights that I use frequently:

SureFire: U2 Ultra; C2 w/ Malkoff M60 drop-in
Ra: Clicky Tactical 140

I also have a bunch of Petzl headlamps: 2 Myo XPs, 2 Tikkas, Duo, eLite ...

Picked up a Kobalt led light from Lowes earlier today. I was going to get one of the surefire models but the Kobalt was half the price. So far it seems like a pretty good piece. I guess time will tell.

ive got a surefire G2L, but ive been looking into the streamlight and fenix lights. i like the price on the fenix lights alot better than the surefires thats for sure.

I have always lusted over the high end Surefires, but I could never justify spending that kinda money. Wish I could though.
