  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

Updated family shot of the Boker barlows. :)

Three more on the way!

That's a large family.

Thanks!

Just curious - if you happen to know, what's the open blade length, bolster to tip?

I'm working on some scales so I actually have the calipers out. :)

The sharpened blade length is 2-1/8" and the length from the bolster to tip is 2-3/8". The bolster has a bit of a curve so I measured it at the point that makes the open blade the longest.

Thanks - just under 2.5", good to know for the future.

Another great family. 👍 I only have two TCs, would love to find a 14, but I just can’t pay what it would take to get one I’m afraid. Patience is the key. 😉

With any luck we’ll see the #14 again before too long. A GEC #14 waynorth waynorth collaboration would be even better. The secondary market is just silly right now.
