I've never seen a Wadsworth that wasn't superb.

I've got a couple of kutmasters somewhere that I must've bought when I was a kid pestering the "old men" selling antiques at flea markets.

That could be nice. Some of the mulberry jigged bone from GEC would be my vote for the scales.

It's been a busy minute since I got this in the mail. Funny thing, when I ordered it I went back to check my email for confirmation. That just happened to be the moment that a dealer dropped some GEC 48's. I never chase GEC's, but I snagged one with zero effort or stress. Within days, I had two incredible knives jostling for a place in my pocket. THEN Buck dropped their May the 4th knife. Ach! It's been busy, I tell you.

Anyway, back to this Barlow. It's a fantastic knife! Well-made and conceived, albeit slightly larger than what I usually carry. It seems made for garden work, so that's what I've done with it.
