I just got back from my P.O.Box with this one; another of those Cooper, Barlows; this one another NYK, but with Ebony handles!!View attachment 3000177View attachment 3000178
Not as sophisticated as GEC, but nonetheless attractive for a number of reasons!!! Well finished, with great, firm snap, and sporting integral bolsters, I like the old-style Matteawan markings!! The ebony has a very rough sawcut, enhancing the utilitarian flavor of this Barlow, and contrasting nicely with the stamped, mark-side only bolster!! I love this knife!!!
(The other knife I picked up today is a stunner - check out the HJ thread!!!)

I’ll say! That bone is killer. This new Case 1095 is a favorite. They did a great job with the deep jigging on this.
