  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

Nice collection, Willard!!
Does that bottom closed knife have "variegated" Ebony handles???

Went to Smokey Mountain Knifeworks last week, and my head exploded. Coolest place on the planet. I picked up this barlow because I liked the honey colored covers, it reminds me of the honey bone on the latest run of the 54 moose. This is a Winchester barlow, made by queen, commissioned by blue grass cutlery.
It has great snap and makes a great edc.

(P.S.) It's Mammoth..... ;)

Even better! Nice deep color!!

I like the Winchester Barlow, but surely it didn't come with the blade discoloration and staining?? I assume it is carbon steel, not stainless.
