What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

For one of the annual Rendezvous meetups, Bill made up a bunch of Barlows with Dead Skunk Acrylic handles!! Some even had Caplifters!! The things I said I would never do on my TC traditional Barlows, he did!! He even made a special Label for them!!
Note, the Skunk's tail is up!!:eek:
Pretty funny overall!!:D

That is too funny!!! Good stuff right there. I just assumed they were custom. Hahaha! and ... of course... i want one...:D

Good story Charlie. Did you laugh when you saw them or did your jaw drop.
 
Charlie / Anyone who knows!, were there any single blade TC skunks made or were they all doubles? I seem to recall seeing an image of a single blade but have probably got that wrong. Thank you. MJ.
 
I went and dug up these pictures back from page 290 !! :p Man this has been such a great thread and it just keeps growing!!! :thumbsup::)
Charlies little thread as become 2nd only to "Carl's Lounge" in most replys and it's only a couple hundred pages behind o_O;)
Looks like only seven skunks were made and Yes they are all 2 blade Barlows! :cool::cool::D

As you may remember Charlie had to wait and pick up his share of the "Tom The Seconds" at the GEC annual rendezvous. About a month after all his distributors had already received theirs! :grumpy: After that rendezvous, when I received my Tom's from Charlie he surprised me with a couple of the "Specials". 2 knives that I did not expect to receive because I was not able to go. You know, only for folks who attend the rendezvous.
Just like Dan and his Soup bone Charlow, I was completely bowled over. You could have knocked me down with a feather! :eek: :eek: With all the other excitement going on, meeting new and old friends, setting up his table, picnicking, games of skill, and I'm sure conspiring with Bill :D Charlie thought about me and set aside an unserialized Oil Sucker Rod Stew's Blade and a Dead Skunk!! :cool::cool::cool: Like I've said before, there's not many of us here that have not been humbled by Charlie's generosity! And that includes me, more than once!!
So here are the 2 Rendezvous specials

The Oil Sucker Rod Wood, 1 of only 3 not serialized...

You will note there is no blade etch like the Rendezvous Specials.

That's a great story Dave. Thanks for bringing it forward for the rest of us. Truly was an amazingly thoughtful thing for Charlie to do.

Hey Charlie, I do not remember any skunks with cap lifters, I think you are thinking of the specials Bill did the next year, the soup bone Beerlows! They also had another funny special label. :thumbsup:
