That is too funny!!! Good stuff right there. I just assumed they were custom. Hahaha! and ... of course... i want one...For one of the annual Rendezvous meetups, Bill made up a bunch of Barlows with Dead Skunk Acrylic handles!! Some even had Caplifters!! The things I said I would never do on my TC traditional Barlows, he did!! He even made a special Label for them!!
Note, the Skunk's tail is up!!
Pretty funny overall!!![]()

Just like Lee Corso on Saturday College Football, NOT so fast my friend!
As you may remember Charlie had to wait and pick up his share of the "Tom The Seconds" at the GEC annual rendezvous. About a month after all his distributors had already received theirs! :grumpy: After that rendezvous, when I received my Tom's from Charlie he surprised me with a couple of the "Specials". 2 knives that I did not expect to receive because I was not able to go. You know, only for folks who attend the rendezvous.
Just like Dan and his Soup bone Charlow, I was completely bowled over. You could have knocked me down with a feather!![]()
With all the other excitement going on, meeting new and old friends, setting up his table, picnicking, games of skill, and I'm sure conspiring with Bill
Charlie thought about me and set aside an unserialized Oil Sucker Rod Stew's Blade and a Dead Skunk!!
Like I've said before, there's not many of us here that have not been humbled by Charlie's generosity! And that includes me, more than once!!
So here are the 2 Rendezvous specials
The Oil Sucker Rod Wood, 1 of only 3 not serialized...
You will note there is no blade etch like the Rendezvous Specials.
The Oil Sucker Rod Wood From the Rendezvous #29
Thank You, Evan!

And the Dead Skunk Acrylic, 1 of only 7, mark...
This example has the perfect blend of colors to my eye. I just LOVE it!!

The Dead Skunk front label (there is no back label)...
Thank You Charlie, it doesn't seem like it's enough but I don't know what else to say but Thank You!
Good Nite All.
Dave
That's a great story Dave. Thanks for bringing it forward for the rest of us. Truly was an amazingly thoughtful thing for Charlie to do.I went and dug up these pictures back from page 290 !!Man this has been such a great thread and it just keeps growing!!!
Charlies little thread as become 2nd only to "Carl's Lounge" in most replys and it's only a couple hundred pages behind
Looks like only seven skunks were made and Yes they are all 2 blade Barlows!
Love seeing all the barlows posted, I don't know why but every time a dead skunk pops up a person cant help but smile.
