What makes a knife look "weapony"?

Or spikes on the hand guard like this:

Perfect for opening packages in an office environment.

Yuck!:thumbdn::barf:
I saw one of those garbage knives in a pawn shop here(totally illegal by the way), and was not tempted to buy it at all, despite the $20 price tag.
A truly terrible, ugly, useless knife.

What's good enough for Ict-T in New Jack City isn't good enough for you, huh?:D

Ive heard black knives are tactical looking, but their not shinny of flashy, and thus they draw less attention, cuts both ways I guess.

I'm trying to find out what features people consider as making a knife appear more "weapony".
So far I have found that:
-most hawkbill locking folders make people think "Claw!", and hence scary weapon.
-black blades seem to be neutral, with some thinking they look scary, and some thinking they make the blade look less scary. No hard and fast rule there.
-double edged is a no brainer; looks too "stabby" for most folks.
What would you guys add to the list? And keep in mind I'm trying to get a feel for what "average" people have reacted to with your knives.

For liberals if it even resembles a blade then it is weaponry. It does not even have tohave sharpened edges. For rational people it doesn't look weaponized until you or your behavior starts sending threatning signals.
