What MANLY thing did your (traditional) knife do today?

I tried to use my Large CV Stockman to cut off some really thin pieces of ceramic from some rods that I have laying around all the time at a specific angle.

None of the ceramic came off. I was a little disappointed.

Oh, and some cardboard boxes met their fate.

I trimmed my nails. None of that mamby pamby fingernail clipper business for me. - Ed J

Are SAKS traditional for the purposes of this thread? If so, I used the Phillips screwdriver on my keychain Ranger to replace the battery in our garage door remote.
I'm not sure my wife knows a AA from a 9v, so it was definitely a man's job - at least in this household! ;)

sharpened my friction's tip, fell on the floor and had to repair it
cut a few pages A4 paper afterwards to test the sharpness LOL

should use it for packages too, awaiting the "yellow man" to arrive..
should use it for cheese at lunch...

Used the sheepsfoot blade my 8OT Old Timer to cut the seal on the box with my NEW computer in it, after my old one CRASHED!

(the new computer is pretty nice though :))

I opened a 20 lb bag of cat food with my Case CV Soddy Jr,did'nt even touch it up afterwards.

Today my slipjoint folder cut a piece of sponge so I could use it to clean out a totally different slipjoint folder. Did I just blow your mind?

I used my Grandpa's old Imperial to cut the tape off a bunch of other old knives my Dad taped notes onto.

Sort of like stropping your knife, to make it nice & sharp enough to cut a new piece of leather for your strop.

It's what I think of as 'self-perpetuating knife manliness'. A gift to your knife, and WITH your knife, that keeps on giving. :)

I took on a pack of wild boars with my 1-incher. After the last one was vanquished, I took off my shirt and yelled at the moon.

True story...

My wife and I just started a cleaning business, and I'm going to clean our first account tomorrow. A children's store. I used my Schrade 108OT to open up all the bags with sponges, gloves, etc. I love that small stockman. So handy having three sharp blades to choose from.

I used my Buck 301 to trim fishing line, cleaned 6 native brook trout for the pan, aand cut a sapling for a digging stick to dig a mess of ramps!

Cut open a sack of firewood, cut away plastic netting on some grease balls for the birds all with a Trevor Ablett single blade Barlow in stag. Got it sharp at last....

Accessed a 7 year old's birthday presents for him. I was the only adult at the party with a pocket knife, the BF 2010 Moose as it happens, which did a good job of cutting all the plastic bits.

I used my Case mini copperhead to cut weatherstripping for the doors on my truck. It's not CV but it still takes one heck of an edge. I love the little thing.

Cut a huge dill pickle in half (longways) at a BBQ today so I could share it with my wife.

Used the large spey blade on my Tidioute #73 Jack in Hemlock Green Bone.
