What MANLY thing did your (traditional) knife do today?

I used my faithful GEC #25 to cut the thread holding the outside breast pocket of my new suit closed -gotta accessorize with a pocket square.

I used my Vic climber to take apart the sump pump in the basement of our 200 year old house. Just had city water put in and they dug into the line running from the pump when they ran the water line. Got the rocks out of the pump, and found out how they were getting in there:eek:

Opened up 2 packages that arrived in the mail. I then used it to chase done a bad guy here at work. I threw it hitting the guy in the left buttock causing him to fall down and then he begged me not to pull out my mag-lite and give him a beaten. Ok my security job doesn't quite work like that but hey it sounds fun. :D

I opened a few beers with my cheap German Bull swing guard. Leverage style, like with a lighter. Don't thing that's manly? Then I drank the beer...

Already on the roof without a small screwdriver so my brand new GEC Mink Skinner pried a fuse out of the end of the Christmas light strand.

Took my Queen stockman to work, used it quite a few times, cutting plastic tags off 20litre paint mixes, opening packages, and used it to open another parcel that arrived which contained my old timers and a STUNNING John Primble honey jigged bone slippie!!
Today was a GOOD day :D

Used my Camillus Yello-Jaket stockman to cut up the carrot cake we bought for the horse's birthday.

...He didn't like the cake, but we did. :D

Made dinner with my new Shun Santoku... Actually I just used it to cut open the wrapping on a pre-made lasagna from the store.

Both knife and lasagna performed admirably.

Opened 2 small packages from ebay sellers. In one I found a nice Eric Bergland handmade Scandinavian knife with burl and Caribou handle and nice leather and Caribou antler sheath. In the other I found a vintage Remington slipjoint folder. A nice R3643 with near full blades and good snap. Been looking for one with a full Muskrat/Turkish clip blade. Nice Remmy jigged bone to. I have known Eric for years and admired his work. To good a deal to pass up!

I don't know how manly this is: My GEC congress did pick up girl :D She wanted to see congress closer and said how pretty it is ^^

I dont usually do this but after seeing this thread and an attempt to make my first post excellent:) I pulled out a Cuban and cut the cap with my new Izula 2:)

prepared dinner with the cv trapper today
cut bread, spread butter and cut the cheese oh and used it to pry the ham from the paper LOL

hope to use it more tomorrow...

I used the copping blade of this whittler to splice the top strain of Christmas lights on our Christmas tree so I could wire them back together to make them work again. This knife made an easy job easier!
