Looks like a Model 30MLBB to me
(thirty Minute Lunch Break Buck)
but what do i know ...after all it is not a 110

It was supposed to be a model 922, which was an exclusive we made for Bass pro. Sweet little knife with brass guard and stag, or elk handles.

That one is a lunchbox knife all right. :thumbdn:

Joe, so i have a modified model 922? i'll have to look up the 922 to compare,
the knife i have looks like it's suppose to have finger grooves, so who ever
made this must have done away with them for the most part, i can just barely
make them out, as for lunchbox knife is this something you let the employees
do? if so do the pay for the materials and make the knife on their own time?
or is this knife considered stolen property from buck?

Yes it is a stolen knife. Joe and most are being polite in referring to them as a lunch box knife as that is normally the way they leave the plant in some ones lunch box..
Joe and all the Bucks are a very trusting family..
it is a embarrassing for them when this type of thing comes to light..

And here I thought a lunch box knife was just a knife used to peel apples and slice cheese.

:D

Does anyone know if this happens often? I've never seen it before. Wonder how many of these knives are out there.

That's a shame. I was hoping that employees were somehow allowed to be creative on their lunch hours. Pretty knife, but a shame.

I too was hoping that somehow the employees were able to be creative but
doing so with integrity, not being underhanded and taking a five finger discount:grumpy: I've never know for sure but i've met 2 or 3 guys that
said they had worked for buck when buck was in California and they told me
that they were able to make their own knives on their own time and they had
to pay for materials plus a small fee, I don't know if this is true or not, maybe
Joe will let us know if this has ever been possible?

The Buck employees must not be able to have a union.

Having a good union and good job security usually cuts down on this sort of thing dramatically.

It's all about attitude and self-esteem.

I am sorry, but I have to throw the BS flag on this one.
Do you have any idea how offensive this remark is to Buck and it's employees? I have worked for good companies, union and non-union. High wages and good job security. People still steal. A thief is a thief. They will steal no matter what the employment conditions are. So it is OK to steal if you think you have a bad job? It is the companies fault and not the thief?

You are right , Joe will be the one to ask. I'm not going to speculate.

Roc says:

No, I didn't say anything about it being ok to steal.

I'm saying that happier and better-paid employees steal less, that's all. The angrier the employees get, the more theft and sabotage you will see.

No, I don't think union shops are without thieves, but in general union folks are a cut above other employees and tend to hold each other to a higher standard.....thus less in the way of lunch box shenanigans.

That's the way it used to be anyway--Union Pride.

Nowadays, since unions have been under attack for forty years and the union-haters have just about ruined them.....who knows?

Hey Tom....How about calling it the Lunch "Buck"et model 921 1/2 :D Which translates in not quite making the grade for a 922 designation. :o
