What movies do you consider worth owning?

Now no one mentions comedies very much so here are a few of my favorites

The Evil Dead
The Blues Brothers
Natl Lampoons European Vacation
Stripes
Liar, liar
Ace Ventura pet detective
Snow Dogs

Eiger Sanction
Adventures of Sherlock Holmes' Smarter Brother (find it)
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
Hell is for Heroes
Kelly's Heroes
Anything with the Marx Brothers, esp. A Day at the Races.
Any W.C. Fields
2001 Space Odessy
Any Bogart
Being There (IMHO, Sellers best)
The Getaway (original)
Bullitt - heck, any McQueen
Any Cary Grant

What?! No "Zorro, the Gay Blade"?! Connoisseurs you're not;)

Okay, some already mentioned and some not:
The Usual Suspects
la Femme Nikita (precursor to Leon the Professional)
Boondock Saints (come on sequel)
Patton
Raiders of the Lost Ark (I could skip Temple of Doom)
LOTRs extended
Star Wars (agree that I could go without I & II...substitute Natalie P. withdrawal with her in Closer  )
Transporter
Saving Private Ryan
Band of Brothers
Apocalypse Now (director's or not)
Schindler's List
Seven Samurai
Last Samurai
Enter the Dragon
Kill Bill I & II (trying to get all the martial art ones outta the way;))
Old Yeller
The Graduate (Mrs. Robinson, nuff said)
Predator
Fight Club
Ghost and the Darkness
Pulp Fiction

And that will do it for now.

My wife and I don't watch many movies but we found the funniest flik ever was "Mars Attacks."

My wife, who is a Tom Jones fan couln't stop laughing at him singing "It's not unusual" as the little yak-yak bulbous headed aliens started shooting up the place.

Since not having cable or satellite at my house, I have ended up with a
modestly large collection of DVD's, hard to list just the main ones as I
try to only buy those that I would not mind popping in to view again,
otherwise I'd not buy but rent those, but here is a brief list that springs
to mind from my collection;

The Princess Bride

Lord of the Rings, extended version a must

Back to the Future

Die Hard collection

A Simple Twist of Fate

Murder by Death

War Games

Hard Times

Mr. Majestyk

The Hitcher

Broken Arrow

The Fifth Element

Pirates of the Caribbean

The Rundown

Sleepy Hollow

Three Musketeers

Transporter

Tremors ;)

X-Men, both of them

Big Trouble in Little China

Captain Ron

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels

The Stand

Silverado

Enough for now :)
G2

Anything with Christopher Guest and Eugene Levy! (Best in Show, Mighty Wind, etc.)

I'm also addicted to "The Life Aquatic" with Steve Zissou (Bill Murray)... :)
