What multi tool, You using today?

Here in south Texas, it's been super hot. So, it's nylon instead of leather sheaths today. On belt, Gerber Freeman Guide and a Lansky LS multi tool. As always my EDC Benchmade Serum clipped in pocket. Included is my pen, an United Cutlery. The grips on the knife and multi tool as well as nylon sheaths are great when dealing with the20220803MT.jpg extreme heat and slippery hands.

Used the Hercules and Leatherman Charge+ TTI pliers to open a trucker/biker wallet chain link to remove the swivel lobster clasp.
Used the LM pliers to hold the (quote/unquote) "large" SAK split-ring on the Hercules, and the flat screwdriver/ruler blade of the Mini Champ to open said split-ring for the solid ring on the swivel lobster clasp, to get it on the "large" SAK split ring on the Hercules.
(ok ... ok ... it is about twice as big as the split ring on the Mini Champ or SD Classic/Signature ... but that ain't saying much. I've used the same size or larger split rings to attach the hooks, making freshwater spinner baits, back in high school.)
Anyway, I can hang the Hercules from my old gen-you-whine Victorinox(?)/Wenger(?) stainless steel belt loop now. 😇👍
Sorry, no WIP pictures. DaRn near needed three hand to get the clasp on the small "large" split ring as it was.

I'm probably mistaken, but I think the cross on the belt loop (and Hercules) is the Victorinox.

I have a small general use tool box that I carry in my truck. I haven't used the tools lately but I had a last minute call for a cabinet and vanity light install at a family member's house and didn't have time to go home and get the proper tools. So, I had a chance to use the SOG Switch Plier that is in the box. When I bought it I thought it was a good conversation type tool, press the button and the pliers deploy like an auto knife. Using it this past weekend, it did just about everything and its small enough that it uses a pocket clip instead of a sheath and is deep carry to boot. It came in handy when I needed the pliers to cut and twist wire and had only one hand free. I've also used the screw drivers and they are stout. Not a bad tool to put into rotation for low key EDC.
