What music have you "re-discovered" lately?

I listened to "Abby Road" by The Beatles yesterday...That brought back some memories.:).

Just last week I ripped 'Megadeth - Rust in Peace' to MP3 I've been listening to that. Cool  reminds me of when I had long hair, old jeans and sleeveless t shirts :D

None of MY [BC ?] era here .No good 'ol real C&W or cowboy stuff mentioned. Your artists names are amusing & some sound like social diseases !
Did see Johnny Cash's name in the whole lot.

Uncle [severely dated ] Alan:confused: :D

Ten Years After: I'd love to change the world

Jefferson Airplane: Lather

Pink Floyd: Relics album

Focus: Hocus Pocus

and I have been listening to a lot of swing and vocalists from the 1940's too

and I am only 35...

Holy Crap!! Is we related here???? Just got through listening to Crown of Creation, putting drumsticks on either side of my nose, snorting the best licks in town...... I liked the Airplane back when Signe Anderson and Skip Spence were there and Gracie was still with The Great Society. (She did an original version of White Rabbit with them before catching de 'Plane, boss.) But see if you can find a copy of Moving Waves nowadays. Had to buy the Japanese disc to go along along with a Nihon pressing of Relics as well..... Great taste in music, Liz_ U and good memories... Nobody cracked on It's a Beautiful Day so I'll just say White Bird was better'n a Free one anyday. (Free Bird.....most overplayed over-rated song in all rock and roll.....)

And a Merry Charlie Pride to you too Unca A.
"Kaw-liga was a wooden Indian standing by the door. He fell in love with an Indian maiden over in the antique store."
Got any Pure Prairie League (pre-Vince Gilll please) to go with that Man in Black while you're at it??? :D

sorry Java, I did mean to reply to your It's a Beautiful Day reference,
but when you mentiond them I had a THC flashback......................

I like all music(except Disco  :barf: :jerkit: :thumbdn: ) my musical taste run from classical to hip hop(some not all) my wife says I'm stuck in the 60's and 70's(hey what can I say Stones Dylan Dead Airplane Hendrix and so on these bands and many from that era have stood the test of time, Brittney who, Backstreet why  )

Anyone remember Zakk Wylde, guitarist for Ozzy?

Just recently I bought my wife Donovans latest release Box Set makes me wanna tie-dye twist one up tune in turn on and......

Some of my favorite music:

Well, the night I was born
Lord I swear the moon turned a fire red
The night I was born
I swear the moon turned a fire red
Well my poor mother cried out 'lord, the gypsy was right!'
And I seen her fell down right dead
(Have mercy)
Jimi Hendrix

T. Erdelyi,
this is a thread about music.

Disco, Britney, Backstreet whatever are definately off-topic.

now, as for all the groups we have mentioned:
who hasn't sold out--i.e. let their music be used for commercials?

The only ones that I can think of are the Dead, CSN&Y, and Jefferson Airplane.

Just recently bought:
Barclay James Harvest, Ted Nugent and Bob Seeger

 Just watched the "Dfinitely Miami" and "Little Miss Dangerous" episodes of Miami Vice last night on DVD. The Nuge made a pretty fair stone cold killer. Gotta go listen to some Stranglehold now....might even back it up with some "whinin" Bob since you brought it up.... :D

I've been buying and playing lots of stuff from the 60's like Wilson Pickett, Stylistics, Delfonics, Temptations.
