The ES1-C is basically just a waveless ES1-M. EKI sells a waveless Commander if your interested.

Hey John (Hollister), isn't a waveless Commander kind of like having a cherry convertible with a top that won't retract? Or a bottle of cold Guiness beer and not having a bottle opener? Or tritium sights that don't glow? Or paying for a frigid prostitute? Just wondering.

Anyway, my Emerson wishlist for the coming year consists of a Commander BTS... ..in case anything should happen to the one that I already have.
Also, I'd love to get a damascus Commander. Uhhh...what might I expect to pay for such a luxury as this? I'm just trying to figure out if selling my soul will cover the price.

Ed, I agree. I have no real love for a waveless Commander. The ES1-C is basically a waveless ES1-M.

As to getting a Damascus Commander, I don't know what one will set you back. There have been a couple of C/P pieces sneak out of EKI, you might want to give them a call after the holidays. (You'll really like the Dam Commander)

I'm still -very- disappointed that the dagger didn't make it into production and that I have a very very slim next to impossible chance of ever having one.

Makes me want to make my own. Looking up info on the art of making knives as I type. I expect to finish my first one in 10 years. Backorders will be accepted. Haha, kidding. I am interested though.
