What NOT to do in a sales thread.

It's actually kind of funny. I have a rule for myself.

Don't sick your nose in other people's business. Had i stuck to that, well, i wouldn't be chatting with you fine folks in this thread.

Lol, what's done is done. Been there. It's always when you make an exception that it comes back to bite you.

Wow..................This is going to go south at some point..
Personalizing things a bit huh

Common ""SENSE" and COMMON COURTESY is to contact the seller an
inquire or inform them of the inaccurate information in their sales post.
ONE doesnt have to crap in the thread...
WOULD any of you as a seller want any of this done to YOU??
That is why..You go to your settings and make certain
your PM is activated and PLEASE try to buy a membership to support this
community so you can add your email to contact you as well..
OR include your email in your thread as is always an option.

In THIS case one of the members posting trash has done it often, and in one of my very few sales threads, costing me serious funds. But, he lives again to do it to yet another great seller..
Mods will say that I report a lot of post within various exchange threads, for comments and general questions, and I will say RevDevil and Esav both do excellent jobs. I also report registered sellers trying to post sales threads. It is the only way to stop the garbage. The member I refer to knows better, has been warned, yet still does it ??? Perhaps lost in translation ? And I agree 100% regarding pm and email, if you can't afford $10, then how are you paying for internet service ? IMO everyone using the exchange should have to be a paid member, just for the pm and email alone.

Just to clarify...
Everyone has Visitor messaging and Email function. Paid membership gives the additional private messaging.

The poster is a journeyman and should not have posted false information and his thread should have not been crapped on.

IMO, in this case accurate description would have avoided all of this.

Boy, what a mess. More folks who either didn't read the rules or ignored them. Either way is wrong.

If I had a listing where a detail that I included was dead wrong, or if my asking price was significantly higher than the price NEW from a dealer, I would want someone to let me know.

Email or PM would be the way to handle that sort of thing. The rules on chatting in a for sales thread are quite clear.
