What on your belt?

I sometimes though rarely wear a fixed blade on my belt... (smaller fixed blades get neck carried, Larger ones go on shoulder rig) so typically it's a multi tool... I also carry a small belt kit with some.."essentials" but that's it...

These are in rotation:

Nice sheathwork, there.

Wearing a second belt is a great idea..... so is attaching items to a small pack or shoulder bag. Just be sure that you have the bare essentials on your person at all times.

That belt rig is on me ALL the time when in the woods. I wear a canteen with a shoulder strap and a possibles bag or small pack depending on the season.

I tried the canteen on my belt... but it is too cumbersome... the shoulder strap does the trick.

My equipment belt doesn't come off, unless it's to go on my shoulder or- as I'm experimenting with- into a pack for carrying among civvies.

There are some pocket/neck items that don't come off at all anyhow. I'm just finding that I get more cantakerous as I age and that old military thing I used to do with a pants belt that had nothing on it and an equipment belt separate works really well out walking, or in the shop... or when doing the bbq for 20 people, or working on bikes....(different belts)

Big Mike, is that Olympus pouch for a SLR? It kind of looks like it, but I'm not sure with the angle.

Indeed, once I tried the second belt, never looked back .

I should try putting my canteen psk on a should strap instead of the belt, thanks for the idea Rick.

You could clear trails, build shelters, cut firewood, and repel pirates with that Northwind Mike.

I really want a Golok too (but I wouldn't pass on a Northwind :D), is BRKT going to put more of them out?

What I read on another forum from Mike from brkt was that there would be no more northwinds produced as they are too dangerous to make - too easy for someone to lop off a finger if it gets away from them while grinding etc.

   And I do.

The Northwind’s were a one time Limited Edition deal and will not be made again.

The Golok is a regular production item, and I think more are scheduled to be made soon.

I believe there might be a few Golok’s left at Mcknight Cutlery

Good info on the Northwind thanks Klammer.

And good to know Goloks will be around for awhile, thanks for the site link Big Mike.

Okay, if I get the final mink oiling done on the new holsters I'll show off some cool stuff. One thing I do have is my heavier belt sized so I can wear it over clothing summer and winter. One of the scandnavian tricks I picked up from a guy in sweden about the "knife belt"

A wonderful leather fire pouch arrived in the mail today. Until I get home, SWMBO will be carrying it on her hikes. She says you do beautiful work Rick. I'll sure be proud to carry it.
