This thread is so funny. I was one of those kids lurking around the "Ninja Weapons" table at the Sunday Flea Market every week for years. I remember letting the older kids in my neighborhood dress me up in a down filled parka and pants with a helmet and then getting shot at with pellet guns just for the money to buy some throwing stars. Then I had to have the tonfas. Then the sai's. I never did destroy any villains, but I was sure ready for them. Ahh, good times.
 
I guess childhood in the city is a bit different. WE did not ask the older guys to hurt us. They got the idea all by themselves. I remember the older kids capturing a bunch of us little snots. They took out some gunpowder and gave us a choice. On your head or on your hand. We had no real choice cause if we did not choose, things would have gotten really ugly. We all chose to have the gunpowder put on our hand and then lit. It hurt and they did not even give us money. In fact they took every penny we had. Luckily we didn't get caught by the really bad guys. They didn't give choices. AS I said earlier. LIfe in the big city could be rough.
 
I am sorry about my spelling i am at a library that only gives you 2 hours. on top of this forum and my homework i am spliting hairs so i need to do things fast.

The bike i am probably going to get is a specialized hardrock or a rockhopper, but i am going for the rockhopper tho. how exactly would you help frog?:confused:

edit: if lucks on my side maybe some disks on the bike.
 
BG, I think it is cool that you are in a library and that you are carrying on an intelligent conversation with people 3 and 4 times your age. I also applaud your taste in steel. I've been collecting since the age of seven and still love it so don't give up on anything you really love. But as a teacher I can't help being a little pedantic. So here goes:
If, by splitting hairs, you mean dividing your attention between two things then you are using the idiom incorrectly. Splitting hairs means ..... If people split hairs, they concentrate on tiny and unimportant details to find fault with something. Or maybe you mean something else. When I am sharpening a blade I split lots of hairs to make sure I have the edge I desire. In any case. Keep up your schoolwork and don't lose your interest in knives. It can be a rewarding, if expensive, pastime
