  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

WHAT PERCENTAGE OF YOUR KNIFE COLLECTION ARE SAFE QUEENS ?

Probably 90%. Most are fixed blade daggers which I couldn't carry outside and it ain't worth using them for anything inside the house so I just have them for display.

Zero........I use all my knives.
Some knives like my Ontario RAT1 are more for work. My Benchmade Bugout with titanium scales for general carry.

Well, about 99.5% of my knives are not exactly "Safe Queens", because that would mean that they are stashed away somewhere where they are not seen.
Instead, mine are all spread throughout my domain as part of my home decor. Most are behind glass, and I keep my domain's air quality under control, so they are "Queens", just not the safe kept type 😊

As a collector of 40 + years of master bladesmith and exotic fixed knives and high end slip joints and folders, etc I have quite a high percentage of safe queens. But I admit I use 100% of my users!! :) That probably consists of a dozen slipjoints, dozen autos/folders and 15 or so fixed blades. I’d say most are safe queens when comparing users to non users.
