Lurker, yes, but 40+ years into this knife addiction (not collecting, just using / sharpening them)...
#1: SpyderCo Waterway (LC200N) - Personally, I generally dislike SpyderCo knives' appearance, so until now, I've only had their black Aqua Salt (H1). But, for me, their Waterway (very recently acquired) now occupies the top slot on my "Fixed - General Use - $200" recommendations list. My 2024 plan for it is to use it as much as I possibly can, while attempting to keep the edge ~150B. It also includes making a custom kydex sheath for it that allows for permanent attachment of heavy shock cord between the two holes, for retention; simply cramming it into a large leather sheath just doesn't do it for me.
#2: A quality Persian fighter recurve. I'm open to any suggestions, less than $2500. I've recently seen some by Jason Knight that would probably do the trick for around $1500, but I just don't know, as, there will be only one (knife with a cost of more than $500).
#3: The full set from (TKC's) Architect Knives website (3, 3.5, 4.5, 5.5, 6.5, & 8) in MagnaCut. No, their new visual knife builder didn't cast a spell on me. Rather, I firmly believe the ability to swap out scales / sheaths of different colors / types, on these knives, in that steel, might actually complete my knife purchases. (Based on my experience with TKC scales on my ESEE knives.)
#4: Convince my loved ones to utilize replaceable razor blades for their box cutting / opening activities. (Rather than their $400 kitchen knives, in some cases; I mean, ugh.)
#5: (Do) more with less (expense).
#6: Fewer details / less analysis, more happiness.
#7: Survive (this ongoing global insanity).
