What Pre-2005 Spyderco Model For Sprint Run? Which Materials?

First, the C60 Ayoob in SE H1 steel. G10 scales in dark blue with the aggressive texture.
Second, the C46 Lum Tanto in a clad tool steel like HAP40/SUS410. Rafir Noble scales.

Thank you Danke!! You're saying what I want to hear>> because I would be happy with a full Spyderedged C-60 Ayoob model with just about any blade steel but I admit that H-1 or even LC200N would be quite interesting for that model in full SE.

A Lum Tanto Folder with HAP 40 or any other Japanese supersteel would be high on my list. I'm still in love with my really old Lum Tanto folder with ATS-55 and you all know how long ago that's been.

Again if they did bring back the C-60 Ayoob in a Sprint run in SE & PE I do think it would be cool to have different handle colors for different edge types.

All cool suggestions guys. What I really want to see brought back is the Spyderco Kumo. Any steel would be fine but 3v or maybe K390 would be amazing.

The Spyderco KUMO model is probably one of the very best hidden secrets they ever had. Very few avid Spyderheads are even at all aware of it's existence. I bet 90% of the Spyderco fans in this time period know nothing about the KUMO model.

With that being said I really believe that a Sprint Run of the KUMO in one of the Supersteels would be a great idea. Or to bring back the original RONIN model with either M390 or S110V.

Some of the older Spyderco fixed blades were truly hidden gems.

I'd like to see a titanium worker with a cowry-x blade.

That's a really cool suggestion>> I haven't even heard Cowry X blade steel mentioned in quite some time>> probably about 3 years or so. It's supposed to be a Japanese supersteel either equivalent or better than HAP 40 from what I've been told. The WORKER model would be so cool in many of the newer blade steels. Again I would like to see it in Spyderedge and plain edge both.

Spyderco needs to consider that it was the Spyderedge that put them where they're at. I also want to see some Spyderedged Sprint Runs in pre-2005 models.

Now that you mentioned a Titanium handle ( Which I like By The Way) I would love to see the original C-54 big Calypso model with a Ti handle and one of the Japan supersteels. There are so many great models out of that time period that would be so cool in a Sprint run.

They could start a retro line. Hopefully they'd use a screw together construction this time though.

Yeah I like that screw construction over pins or rivets myself. That's the main reason I have an affinity with GOLDEN, CO USA Earth made Spyders is because you can take them apart and do maintenance on them yourself. I do wish that more of my favorite Japan made Spyders had that construction too.

Also for pre-2005 Sprint Runs I would like to see more Titanium, Carbon Fiber and top grade G-10 handles. Unfortunately I'm doubtful if we ever see any Micarta Spyders again anytime soon.
