What Puukkos Do You Like?

There is only one in my eyes. A Tapio Wirkkala from Hackman. So beautiful, one is in the Museum of Modern Art Design Collection. I need one.

The Wirkkala modern puukko is incredibly beautiful. I have some very nice Roselli’s with birch handles.

yeah, I still couldn't believe it when I saw that benchmade puuko in 3v - I expect they might convert many of their followers to fixed blades with stuff like that = )

Looking to get a pukko. What does everyone have and like?
The Benchmade "puukko" is NOT, repeat NOT, a puukko. Buy one if you want a good field knife. But if you want a traditional puukko, go with . . .

Malanika,
Lamnia,
Maartiini,
Peltonen,
Roselli (carpenter's knife)
Eräpuu,
Kellam,
Järvenpää,

Look for a straight blade (not clip or drop point), flat spine, Scandinavian or zero grind, and a non-full-tang (stick, rat-tail, or 3/4).

There are many more TRADITIONAL puukot (plural of puukko), but the Benchmade ain't one!

I’d recommend the Enzo Trapper. Great knife, true scandi (no microbevel), and comes in good steels, like M2 or Elmax.

Just ordered a Jelio 4v version of a puukko, and the only other close to this style would be the full tang bushtool clone by Blackfeather. Have been wanting a Roselli UHC carpenter knife or hunter just haven't pulled the trigger yet.

the benchmade might not be a 'real' puukko, but honestly, 3v + super grippy handle and the decent pricepoint for such a bombproof useful knife that can be easily EDC'd ...
True. It's a good knife, but as the OP asked about puukot, I'm going to recommend a puukko.

Secondary bevels give Scandi blades a bad name. At least to me. I have a Trapper 95 in N690 with a flat grind and olive wood incoming. 3.5mm spine. Should be a nice slicer.
