What SAK are ya totin' today?

I very nearly wasn't going to be carrying this ever again , it feel out my pocket as I was getting out ( or in I'm not sure ) of my truck today .
Its lucky that the silver colour really stood out against the ground or it would have been lost forever .
I stupidly put it in my loose trouser pocket instead of my button down shirt pocket like I usually do .
I've learnt my lesson .

Took leghogs advice and got me one of these Vic leather sheaths...

How does it fit the Farmer? Snug? Will it accommodate anything over the Farmer's 93mm or thicker than the Farmer?

It looks great. How do you like the quality of materials and workmanship? Thanks for any input.

I like it a lot, especially for $8.97. That said, fit and finish is, like everything SAK, spot on. It is perfect for the Farmer, fitting slightly loose, and will accommodate SAK's up to 108MM, like a GAK. I placed one of those self adhesive button floor protectors (you know, those round felt thingy's you put on the bottom of chair legs to protect wood floors) inside of the sheath to cover the brass snap so as to prevent any possible scratching of the alox or Celidor, and secondly, to make the knife fit nice and snug. Since they are somewhat compressible, a four layer SAK will fit, albeit real snug, but I suspect the leather will soften up some after a while, so initial tightness is temporary. The leather smells, well, like leather, and the stamped basket weave is quite attractive. You'd be hard pressed to find a sheath like this for less than $10.00, and a custom made one would cost five times as much. I went ahead and ordered a few more to go along with the couple of black Pioneers with red shields that I will gift this XMAS, and will keep one sheath for a backup.

Buy one....you'll thank me forever.;)

Hey guys. I don't want to derail the thread too much, but is there any other way to attach your new SAK scales than vice? I don't have one handy right now, and I would not care to buy one just for attachment of scales. Pressing the scales with your own weight and padding too brutal?

Small C clamp .
I read somewhere recently where you can stand on them to pop them into position , but I would think the vice - C clamp would give you much better control .

I use a quarter inch thick leather and a gentle taps from a hammer. Make sure there is leather or something similar on the surface the knife is resting on. I have art board on the surface of my work area. Used this method many times...just take it easy.

Pioneer again! It's starting to get some nicks here and there in the alox scales, but that's how I know it's mine!

In the pocket sheath. The lanyard is perfect for grabbing the Pioneer out.
