  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

What SAK are ya totin' today?

While I have a wide assortment of SAKs, most of them, the ones with things like saw blades, corkscrews, etc. are stashed in my packs and vehicles. For probably 30+ years, I always carried the Classic along with a larger pocket knife (like the Buck 501). When I learned about the Ambassador about 10 years ago, I started carrying that one instead. A little bigger with a more useful blade and even though the nail file is shorter, it has a pointed tip for cleaning. I've got a stash of Alox scaled knives in the safe which I decided I don't really like because the toothpick and tweezers are must haves for me. For my needs, their best knives are the little ones and the Camper types.

Were the serrations original to the knife?
Also, What model is that?
It's a serrated Spartan also know as a "weekender" the serrations have been worn from use and touched up over the years with a Lansky triangle stone for serrations, but it's pretty much looks the same as when I bought it. Great for cutting meat at a bush barbie.
