What SAK are ya totin' today?

Yay, the Executive (and a second as a spare) showed up just now. I've been so used to the Ambassador (same 74mm size) that this is more different than I thought it would be. That said, this will be 1/2 of my EDC (either a Benchmade Bugout, Mini-Presidio, or Mini-Grip are the other half).

The Executive is very cool and while I doubt I'll ever peel an orange with the tool, I can see a number of other uses, I like having two blades - little and littler and the longer and different design nail file. Perfect EDC for me.

I have a very old executive, but despite having broken the scissor spring, I really like him.;)

I would like to know where to get the old style, non stainless, single leaf springs. The new springs look like a hair pin.

A new arrival, a 91mm vintage Spartan today:thumbsup:

After I saw your pics of that cool blade, I looked at mine and thought to myself, “self?”.....

Now that I've carried the Executive for a few days, it will replace my long carried Ambassador. Same length (74mm) but a little thicker. I have yet to figure out a use for the orange peeler blade but having a smaller pen blade and, for me anyway, longer file, are two bonuses. Truth be told, the tweezers, toothpick, and scissors remain my most used tools. I carry a Benchmade Bugout (535-2) or Mini-Presidio for a larger blade.

In the last few days I’ve used the “orange peeler” as a screwdriver, as a box opener (serrated), opened a resealable bag (back sharp end behind serrations), cut off excess glue stuff off a small calendar, and pried open a split ring. Very useful. It’ll be a good scraper too. Just use your imagination.

I mostly carry these little SAKs for the tweezers and toothpick... ;) What I like about this knife is the better file and second blade. The orange peeler is a bonus. I bet it would work well with a fire steel but I always have a more proper knife or scraper for that need in any event.

I was pleased today when I tried the edge of the Executive's file blade to strike a fire steel and it worked great. I added a little fire steel to my keyring and while I have a larger knife to use, the steel is only a couple of inches and it's a bit small to use the spine of a larger knife. Perfect with the Exec!
